what's the point of paying for all the advantages if we can barely use theM?

I kinda get it. They don't want people laying mines everywhere and accidentally (or intentionally) destroying the mission objective. Or running over their own mine a few minutes later and dying. I can imagine mines causing problems in heist setups like prison break bus or plane, or pac standard convoy.
