Like the title says everything mentioned in the latest news (see following link) isn't available for me ingame.

The Vagner just for example doesn't even shows up on the "Legendary Motorsports" website. Same goes for the new "Independence Day" design of the MOC, the skins for the MkII weapons, the two free T-Shirts and so on and so forth. The current discounts are also not available.

 

I can enter the game without any problems but when I try to buy some bodyarmor at Ammunation I get a message that the "game cataloge" isn't up to date and that I should restart the game to update/fix it.

I've done this multiple times by now but of course that doesn't changes anything at all. Besides that I've downloaded and (re)installed the latest launcher and RSC. Additionally I've started the game with the "-verify" prefix to check for missing or corrupt files but the check went through without any problems.

 

From the latest posts in this section of the forums I can see that I'm not the only one with this problem.

 

Something is royally f'ed up here and I've contacted the R* Support already and filed a bug report.

 

Has anybody in here an idea what's going on and how to fix this?

 

Sidenote: I've a DVD version of the game and obviously play on PC.

 

/edit: Also deleting/renaming the "Social Club" folder in C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents or a complete reinstall isn't fixing this issue.

Try deleting this file: Documents\Rockstar Games\Social Club\Titles\GTA V\metadata.dat.

I just checked and the new content isn't available for me either even though the loading screens have been updated advertising all the new stuff. As you saw in my other thread i dont have the error when purchasing armor now which i had before the new content was released.

I have the DVD and Steam versions, new content is available on the Steam copy

Try deleting this file: Documents\Rockstar Games\Social Club\Titles\GTA V\metadata.dat.

 

That doesn't helps. As I've written in the edit not even deleting the whole Social Club folder and not even a reinstall will change the fact. But thanks for trying to help.

I am in the same boat. Now on 2nd ticket to R* with no solution. Have tried options suggested in the various threads with n o result.

Same here. No answer from the support so far. Presumably because it's way above their heads.

I am on PC, non-steam copy of game, Nvidia 970GTX,AMD FX-8150 CPU.

 

I wonder if anything is common amongst the affected players.

Trying to determine a solution logically. We all have the same files, same SC. Re-downloading dlc doesn't work. Effectively the tunable has not taken effect with some players. Most Independence day stuff has been in game for ages. AFAIK the cars will be present too. So basically the switch has not been flicked for us. WHY?

 

What do we have or not have that would do this?

Yup dont waste time on files, its is account relied, you self cant fix it. Pray R will isolate and fix.

Yeah if I were you guys, I'd be replying to the support ticket you had open every 24 hours - whether it required a reply or not.

 

Otherwise, July 10th will come and go, and you'll have missed out on limited content.

I've added some additional infos to my ticket and also asked for a reply already but it's actually interesting that you mentioned it because there's something strange about this ticket as the following screenshot shows.

As you can see my last reply is from 1st July 04:52 pm but it shows the last activity happend on 2nd July around 02:00 am (local time) but there's no post or reply after my last one. Everybody that can do simple math gets this actually means they were doing something in there but the question is what exactly? Mhhhh...

I wonder if this has anything to do with targeted discounts. To my knowledge I have never had any of them even though I am subscribed to the email list. I also don't know if I have ever had an email.

 

I am also one of the players that had Cash awards given then taken back.

EDIT: Seems I have had emails and am confirmed on mailing list but certain I have not had targeted sales.

Got a reply from the support telling me to delete the local profile via the ingame RSC overlay but that obviously didn't helped as it presumably does the same as deleting/renaming the "Social Club" folder in "Documents".

 

I've told them that it seems like this can't be fixed on the users side and that they should get their act together ASAP.

Yeah normally that activity on your tickets without there being replies is because either the ticket's being opened by the support reps, or it's being assigned to someone. They may be rating your request as a high or low priority too, which would indicate activity as well.

I also have the DVD/Rockstar DL version and I've had the update work fine since it was released.

 

I remember an issue I had ages ago, sometime in early 2016 maybe, can't recall what it was exactly, but nothing worked as suggested, like you guys are all trying.

What did work however, was creating a guest account on my PC and logging into GTA on that and it would somehow re-establish the full link with the server-side stuff with your PC files.

 

You can also simply try to login and check the in-game items on a friend's computer.

If all's good on another PC, the above method should hopefully rectify it, if you've tried all the other things.

 

It may work for you, it of course may not, but thought I'd throw it out there while you wait.

That actually sounds like it's worth a try. The only problem is I only have buddies with Steam versions and guess this doesn't really works because of "compatibility" problems (?).

i sent ticket and told i did donwload game again and re-installed and re-downloaded update files and verifyed 10times and i got reply verify your game files. i mean thats their skills and caring currently.

wont help you they dont get it atm, need more guys sending ticket about that. It has not make it way up to the guys that really care bout such bugs. It still is on low tier support.

also x2 rp and money shown as x1 on adversary which funtions to me atleast, so others get x2 and i x1 normally and that sucks. they are looking for that bug but just answers stupidly to calm down people.

Now the support requested me to create a video showing them that the content really isn't available for me in an attempt to shift the responsibility and to make me shut up. But not with me!

The videos are taken from a German version and the descriptions are also written in German but I guess you can get what's going on.

 

Btw, I've allowed myself to charge them 500.000,- $ of ingame currency as "compensation" for creating each of the videos. :cool:

I didn't got an automated response this time. Maybe because I've already told them to spare me such crap. You should really file a bug report (contact the support). Every single case helps to make them aware that this is a wider problem.

Good (not really) to know that also the box is concerned. I'll add that to my report.
