Maybe it would enthuse me more if it were different from every other step and fetch mission in this game. Sadly it's the same ole same ole with some aliens and dead Xfiles spoofs. Now if it let you inside the COG bunker of Chiliad, and showed you the location from the office custom shop with the mother of all aliens, THAT would be actually worth doing 600 supply runs for. A literal reskin of an existing Gunrunning mission? Not so much..

Haven't seen a thunderstorm in GTAO for a long time. If I see one at night, in a couple of months, I know where I'll be heading! (respectfully in passive mode of course). I imagine that by the time anyone gets 600+ deliveries done, they should expect guests if they trigger the UFO pickup heh.

It doesn't look like a normal thunderstorm either im in two minds whether to do this solo or in a populated lobby

I wonder if it blocks the PS4 from capturing footage too? If not, I'll record it for sure... in a year or so, months and months if I'm lucky lol. I JUST finished all my research on my main character and I still have 2 alt characters to unlock all research for. Eh, it is something to work towards, but it only being a short resupply mission is a pretty big let down. A unique interior or reward would have made it truly something to grind for, if they would have made it a much longer and comprehensive mission set inside an interior INSIDE of Chiliad where you have to fight hoardsof aliens before facing that kraken alien as a boss battle? Well i would have sh*t my pants and quit my job..

The fast way of skipping the multidrops only works on minimum 7k/10.5k just found out the hard way and lost a huge 20k (ish) lol

I'm only doing the small drops anyway. I don't care for making money from this, I just want to do the mission and get it over with.

 

I've now reached 163 sales.

^ got to say, respect that is good progress.

 

I expect someone like the Chilead Gurus team or GTA series videos will get there pretty quickly by sharing an account and having several people log in to make progress around the clock.

 

What I'm wondering is how much we might have not seen so far.

 

By forcing the key global variable to 20 there may have been other case statements not set up correctly that will be done if triggered naturally.

As neat as it is to see the video for the first time, I can't see myself finding the pursuit even close to worth it, and this is coming from a person who has pursued dozens of less-than-worthwhile objectives in the game.

Same here but the chump change is good funds for respraying all my cars (im currently on 132 probably the amount of cars ive got to do as well lol)

Alien NPCs to shoot (they materialize in and vaporize when shot). First time for them in Online

^ in the video they effectively modded the code to force the mission to run. Possibly it didn't run 100% as intended - other case statements in the code might not have been setup correctly.

 

It's also possible that this mission might unlock something in an as yet unreleased DLC.

 

Although this might just be all there is. There are still a lot of unknowns.

If anyone gets to 600/601 and it turns out the whole thing is a scam I will not make fun of you at all. You will get my genuine sympathy.

 

My issue with the video is I've been in a lot of freeroam stormy weather and I've never seen that much lightning in GTAO outside of the "Land The Disabled Titan" Flight Lesson. It also stayed as a heavy storm the whole time.

Maybe the weather can be worse on PC than on PS4?

 

The guy in the video entered the lobby and it was clear and sunny and immediately started the Supply mission. As soon as he spawned outside it's a heavy thunderstorm. So would everyone else in the lobby get a sudden weather change or would it only be visible to the player(s) on the mission? (like how players that held on to the Holiday snow by sleeping their systems would have snow and slippery roads in their point of view while it was normal to anyone with them in the same lobby)

I went into this expecting that, honestly. Even if it isn't a scam, I've already seen it. So I'm just doing it to say I did it.

I've been in lobbies with friends (while in party chats) where it's raining on my screen but not in theirs. They can still see my car behaving with rain effects, slipping and drifting, etc. But they had sunny weather.

 

It's not unusual, though perhaps rare or glitch.

Freemode script never used that weather, it's actually a special effect.
The weather is set to thunder once you trigger the mission, along that a native called "CREATE_LIGHTNING_THUNDER" is being set to cause that heavy storm.
I found what Agent 14 will say to you once you trigger the mission and it's not that interesting.

Okay, go get the supplies and bring them back in a usable condition. (1)
You know what to do. Collect the supplies and bring them safely to your technicians. (2)
Here we go. Find the supplies then take them to the lab. And make sure they're not too damaged in the process. (3)
