Gunrunning shooting range is just stressful...

4. Turn off controller vibration. (Trust me)

Tbh the vibration helped me with muscle memory on the carbine rifle and mg as I didn't count the bullets like I did with the smg and assault rifle. To each his own, I guess.

Ah yeah I can see that.

I also forgot to mention what helped me the most, was counting my bullets. I actually used real world military technique to help me. For example, I would literally count out loud with the bullets.

1,2,3,4,5,MOVE!

(Or however many bullets it is)

Then go to the next one. It's not that it helps you from missing shots, it helps because it gives you a pace and keeps you conssistent

haha I tried counting bullets but for auto weapons it was too fast to count and tapping for each bullet was too slow. I just kept an eye on the target and let off when I saw it going away. I heard you are allowed 1 missed shot on auto weapons too.

I've only got tier 1 on the sniper rifle. I just don't have the patience for this sh*t, especially how long it takes to wait through the score to try again.

Yeah, the level curve is absurd, but they're not impossible. I suggest upgrading Pistol, Combat MG and Heavy Sniper to MKII and buying scopes, grips and the biggest magazines for all weapons so you don't have to reload (except for Pistol and Heavy Sniper). Tier 2 feels like the hardest one to me, especially Carbine Rifle.

If you still have problems completing it, here's a full run on an alt account. As you can see, my aiming is a bit sloppy at times.

I always thought it was just the game being lenient when barely missing a shot to compensate for the spread on some guns. I've had some carbine and mg runs where my accuracy was 97% percent or lower, but never had the multiplier reset.

You can hit right on the d-pad to cancel out of a round. Took me a while to find that out.

So I was trying this tonight, so stressfull, but I was able to complete the Tier 2 for all weapons finally. I still haven't tried Tier 3 though.

To beat Tier 3 should I upgrade pistol and Carbine to MKII? They are the only weapons of the shooting range I haven't upgraded to MKII, just bought an extended clip.

Dunno about the Pistol, but definitively you should downgrade your Carbine Rifle from Mk II status so you can put a Box Magazine on it, it really helps to lower the time between reloads.

This also applies to the Assault Rifle and the SMG.

Oh damn

I should really think about doing that...

i've managed to beat them all (After much trial and error) with stock mk. 1 weapons with a controller, i just lowered my sensitivity, used the closest third person camera and changed to a slightly enlarged simple targeting crosshair. The 100 round mags definitely help though, and if you get a bit too trigger happy or reset your multiplier, just cancel and retry right there

Just completed it all, I didn't need to downgrade my SMG MKII, and I didn't need to buy the Box Magazine for the Carbine either, but I did need it for the Assault Rifle.

The most difficult one to me was the Combat MG. I beat it out of luck from the targets rng... Even with the gun upgraded to MKII and 100 rounds clip I was having tremendous difficulty. The easiest one was the Carbine, I did it on my third try. The SMG one was also surprisingly easy, did it with the 60 rounds clip and scope attachment.

The unlocks are great to have.... The tier 2 unlocks are more useful though, +5 for almost every throwable is great. But I appreciate the Rocket Launcher free ammo from Tier 3, feels good.

Do the Ammunation gun ranges give the same unlocks? I feel I'm missing out here.

No, the Ammu-Nation challenges do only reward you with discounts on the store's items.

wow I didn't know about that. Time to try the Ammu-nation challenges then. Are they harder than the Gunrunning ones?
