Anyone else find social club to be useless?

Recently i screwed up my social club account to the point where i can't use it,not gonna go into details but anyways i got to think,why do i even need one? The only positive aspects i find good about it is crews but that's it. Anyone else feel the same way and don't even use it,like you don't have one connected to your psn,xbox or pc account?

I only use it for recruiting and communications. The occasional news feed is nice but that's it

Is it even possible to not have a Social Club account on PC? The launcher uses that account to verify game ownership, so I doubt it.

 

I'm honestly jealous of console players with as many accounts as they like. On PC, you get two characters and that's your lot.

I use it to change crew colors, check the newswire/online events. Thats it, but I cant change crew colors anywhere else so

Occasionally it's handy to have open when doing/grinding awards, having it open on the mobile saves counting and pausing, and to read the latest news and such, though no account needed to read bits...

 

I used to pay more attention to the stats and such when we could chat there, as often I'd need to wait a mo and refresh it to read responses, but since it's gone. Rarely visit... The newswire posts are here, and so are you lovely people...

 

Funnily enough, when the social club stopped the comments, I noticed a few names here I recognise too...

If you want to glance at your narcissism and show off your stats, whether legit or not, Social Club is a must have. Also, it's required for crew colours and Snapmatic and stuff like that.

I beleive you need social club membership to use creator.

I find it useful for changing my crews there instead of the game. Don't want to be a dumbass to slip up and accidentally "delete character"

For socializing no, for accessing jobs and photos hell yes. Social Club is a bad name for it, as the social media aspect of it never really took off.

The stats there are bullsh*t tho. (someone mentioned how many kills they had by Lazer and Hydra according to their social club. Mine says the only kills I have by weapons are MG, RPG, HL and Buzzard missiles. That's it. Exactly zero by heavy sniper etc? Social club is wrong).

 

I also just use it for crews and snapmatic. Of course R* can even mess the easy part of it up. Notifications on your snapmatic are mostly useless. I'll get notifications that a bunch of people liked a bunch of pictures, but when I click on the first notification, the rest are lost lol. Seriously R* doesn't fully test ANYTHING they put out.

Social Club is worth it for crew colors alone. Its also useful for checking race leaderboards, which you can't even do properly in game.
