Constructive criticism is an amazing way to inspire authors no matter what type of media you're working in. A quick "great story, can't wait to read more!" can motivate a writer as he knows there's people reading his stuff. Sure, he can view the number of views on his stories but an actual comment can go a long way. Now take that and put it in a forum environment where people can debate and elaborate why a certain thing is good? That's a sure shot for getting the author's gears running. I'm no modder but I've typed out stories and made threads before and getting that positive feedback and reinforcement to do more can really make you stay up at night and keep working on the next big thing. I strongly suggest asking a mod to move this to Modding, if such threads as discussion are allowed (I'm sure they are, never really ventured in modding section) and to get pointers on how to make the thread a bit more..."attractive". Why limit yourself to one question about which mods we like? Why not ask an extra question directed to modders and asking THEM what their favorite mods are, who inspired them and what they like about modding. Put a spin on it.
