Rockstar Livestream has new intro

Small PSA for those who haven't seen the beginning of last GTAO livestream:

 

 

 

I love anything Rockstar related, so I wanted to share it.

People try for the shirts, make jokes with each other, and watch people completely failing at missions and races.

It's sort of like MST3K for GTA, with prizes.

I do remember an early stream during the Movie Shirts era and the Crosswalk wasn't part of the intro.

That was over a year and a half ago.

I've never understood and never will why people watch other people playing video games. To me it's the equivalent of watching a video of someone else watching TV.

While I agree, why do people watch sports or racing on TV?

Have you ever watched someone else try something (especially new missions) before trying it yourself? It's a good way of un-NOOBing yourself.

1. They don't do it every stream

2. They usually do it at the end, but some streams are longer than others

3. It may or may not be rigged, as some people have won multiple times while others have tried dozens of times and never won.

4. They usually pick a total of 40 winners, regardless of platform, and the audience at the time of the raffle can be 250-2100 (though 300-400 has been the norm lately) so the odds aren't great to begin with.

5. It's never been shown if they count each gamer tag once or if every time you post it if it counts as another entry

The earliest I've seen Rockstar use the crosswalk intro was a GTAV Soundtrack Edition feat. Favored Nations stream on July 30, 2014. Before that they just launched the streams immediately.

They pick 50 winners but the winners list usually contains less than that for some reason and most of the time has duplicate names, which raises more suspicions.

 

And the way the raffle entries work - from what I've seen - you can enter multiple times just by changing up letters. So if you enter once and then enter again with an question or exclamation mark (for example) at the end or just change the case, you will have two entries in the raffle. Same thing will happen if someone else enters you. That's probably why there usually are duplicate entries - because everyone is trying to go through the 30 second duplicate message filter. I'm wondering if they're trying to fix that because in the last stream they've started using Moobot instead of their own bot. Also, if anyone's curious, if you've won on the same gamertag before (by "won" I mean "own the shirt on both characters") they will pick another winner and tell you to avoid entering the raffle if you've already won.
