Doing something to free the unjustly banned

When I got suspended I managed to get someone from support call me on the phone after a long live chat, supposedly a supervisor in support, and that support person said he believed me that I hadn't done anything but that they have no more information in support and there's nothing they can do. He also said he tried to get someone higher up to talk to me so that they could at least tell me why I was suspended, like I was asking, but that they all refused to talk to me. Usually I'd think that was just call centre staff fobbing me off, but I believe it this time.

Well nothing has changed, my month ban is over and I have level 0... Fudge this game, I'm out. Might come back if people make private servers for multiplayer with unlimited cash etc, hate grinding.

Well I suppose I'm shadow banned, seeing as my friends who I play with regularly one of which is banned the other has stopped playing in protest and I can't even go to a public session through fear of getting banned myself, I'm done with GTA online for the time being, which I didn't think I would be seeing as I was a cheerleader for it previously.

Indeed & it would appear that no one outside of the forums are raising awareness of the latest ban wave that started on the 20th of April, which is not good because it's tantamount to covering it up, players are even now recieving permanent bans because they got wrongly ban in the last wave, anyone have any idea why there is so much silence about it?

I must say, that false ban I received is kind of liberating tbh. I got rid of all useless stuff I've purchased during my 3 years and 3.7xx h of playing.

 

I only purchased a hangar for now and filled it with my beloved helicopters - of course started with 2 Buzzards, a Hunter, an Akula and a Sea Sparrow which I missed during my "time". I don't own a single car nor any other property except a hangar for my babies for now. And it feels great. Yet I have to level up to buy the right weapons and clothes - but lvl120 is easily done in one, max 2 days.

 

Hover on @all - I'll enjoy my restart as long as possible.

What's she supposed to do though? Just keep spending hundreds/thousands of hours trying to scrape back the money they steal off her? At some point you've got to give in and just do it. She played legitimately all the way, but just wiping everything - that's begging to get someone to do it.

 

I'm sure there's ways around that if it's the case anyway. If not - eh, it was still the only realistic option. There's no point grinding back all that work, especially if they're likely to just wipe it away again.

I'm sure there's ways around that if it's the case anyway. If not - eh, it was still the only realistic option. There's no point grinding back all that work, especially if they're likely to just wipe it away again.

There were two options for me - leave the game completely (that's kind of permaban) or do something to have fun again for a couple bucks. To grind again for 3 years - no way. So in the end I can't lose anything. I'll enjoy it as long as it last. It can happen everytime again; with and without a moneyboost - so why should I bother?

Understood, but I just thought that if clean players did not lobby to have their stats restored, then maybe R* would percieve it as an admission of guilt & would continue to take no steps to fix thier broken anti-cheat system, fair play to Mrs. Buzz in being defiant & carrying on.

 

All the people who say players that get banned are always cheating, they continue to say it until they get caught up in a fake purge.

A live chat in text? Keep sentences short and simple and use Google translator.

He did do that in the end, but the only trouble is they claimed to have looked into why he was banned & claimed it was for a legitimate reason, although he does avoid lobbies with modders, he does go AFK alot & despite the fact he leaves the session as soon as he finds out there is a modder in the lobby could that be the reason he was banned?

My friend who got banned, ended up sitting out his month ban, which become a permanent ban, he later decided to open a new account & purchased a new copy of GTA V, only to have that one banned for another month, I don't think he even got past the tutorial session, he did say that he thinks it could be because he is using some software as he is using a PS3 controller, anyone else heared of this happening?

 

Though he did also say he's always used a PS3 controller.

Since I currently try everything I can to get all my legit stuff back, and I will try until the last day; does someone know more about how unlocked items are being handled when a reset happens? It is pretty clear that unlocked things like Halloween facepaints or the Sanctus which you had to buy to keep them will be gone as a reset seems to be nothing else that simply the characters are being deleted.

 

But how about rewards for logging into the game on a certain day or during a certain period like liveries or clothing items like the Rockstar shirts? I know I already picked up shirts and other things after these periods when I visited the clothing store at a later point, they were still waiting there for 0 $.

After a few days I managed to have a support guy forward me to a higher department for investigating the whole situation. But are they really doing this or is it just an empty phrase to make you stay quiet for some time? 

Without receiving some information another one just closed my ticket inbetween. 😠

Just a few more days until the suspension expires and as expected there was nothing to expect.

 

R.I.P. legit rank 341 / 309 who bravely survived almost 2600 hours in this crazy online world, even without being harmed by the banwaves 2017 and this year.

Well there goes my vehicle collection with mostly crew colors, way worse is losing all those clothes I unlocked during that time and of course the worldrecord tattoo which I just had for about a month. 😭

I guess R* no longer want to see me play behind my wlan repeater, I only have regular internet there but Steam is the only thing for games that can connect despite that. For GTA Online it means that I only get solo sessions and nobody can even see me online. In the last 2 years I often used that method for playing when I had no access to the Fritzbox here without issues.

 

Something they changed for the DLC must be causing this now, I think this has triggered my first 30 day suspension, but how should I know if they tell  nothing? I am now sure this must be the reason since after 2 days playing after the suspension my main account is now permabanned.

 

I did not get an email notification or something about that.

 

UPDATE: With my old account being permabanned after 2 days of playing only in friend sessions to sell bunkers, bikerstuff etc. and my second account currently sitting on a 30 day suspension until Aug 9 after grinding crates and biker with doublemoney for 2 weeks I decided give it a try, but to handle things a bit different this time. Luckily GTA was on sale for under 20 € recently, that made my decision easier.

 

This time I only play linked to the Fritzbox, not using the wlan or connecting a network cable to the wlan repeater. So far everything is fine, I take it as evidence that there must be a connection to the updated privacy policy /ToS. Apparently this somehow no longer tolerates playing with wlan or linked to the repeater where I end up in only solo public sessions and not even my friends can join there...

 

During the first suspension I completely reinstalled the game and also disabled all kind of background programs that are not required windows processes while playing. I also know that none of the reasons they like to throw at you via copypaste are applicable in my case, before the suspension my old account had way less then a million dropped on me especially last year when the direct injections were a problem, I always got pointed at the automatic sweeps, but never saw on of those. Anyway from Sharkcards, legit earning and also several money gifts from R* ( sometimes 500k or different, but mostly 250k) I stayed way above that amount anyway. Had nothing like this happen after the suspension or on the second account.

They absolutely do ban for no reason, indiscriminately and with no human oversight.

 

Players have been banned at the prologue stage of SP.

 

R*s anticheat is flawed beyond belief to the point where it shouldn't even be implemented.
