Sorry just to be clear was that a straight unban, or unban after re-ban? Trying to ascertain if R* have done anything more after the re-ban that happened a couple of days ago.

 

 

I have not heard or read of anybody who was RE-banned, being re-UNbanned and I have done alot of reading, looking for a re-UNbanned because unfortunately, I am one of those who falls under the RE-banned category. My hopes that I will find a re-UNbanned are pretty much gone at this point.

 

If anyone knows of a re-UNbanned, please share. Don't worry, I am not holding my breath.

 

I think that whole RE-ban business pisses me off even more than the original BAN. DafuQ was THAT all about? Blatant incompetence or just some kind of cruel joke? Both those scenarios are equally possible as far as I am concerned.

Is there any particular reason Rockstar don't even publicly acknowledge what happened or comment on the situation? I get the hunch that whoever dicked up at Rockstar and then 'fixed' it might been selling their own people the story it was all sorted out successfully. Doubt anyone can provide an answer but what kind of liabilities may be involved for the people over on Rockstars end when something like this happens? All seem so counter-intuitive in how they've handled this and how they avoid communicating with their fan-base to the point of needles self-harm.

R* have followed the same modus operandi since the first wave of unjustified bans and money removals. We have even seen them apply pure bot-replies to a broad range of keywords and shut down their telephone support lines in response to the money removal wave of last August. They are basically sticking their fingers in their ears and singing "La la la, I can't hear you."

And the particular reasons for that are PR and legal liability. I see little evidence for some unknown employee who is both the one responsible for the a$$-backwards functionality of the "anti-cheat" module and at the same time powerful enough to set a general support policy and keep any information about the mess from reaching his superiors. This whole situation can only develop the way it did with backing from people high up in the chain of command. And obviously there is little to no regard for the well-being of the individual gamer. All attention is directed to the well-being of the company and economic success through mass-appeal.

If R* were to acknowledge the demonstrable fact that there is a serious problem that boils down to fully-automated fraud the company would be in immediate hot water both PR-wise and legally. The way the EULA is worded anyone with the will and means to sue R* over this would have to either prove a negative, meaning he would have to have some sort of full documentation about what happened and did not happen with his account in order to argue that any ban or money removal was arbitrary, or he would have to go through the rather arduous process of fighting the EULA itself first.

But with a public acknowledgement that there is something seriously wrong with their "anti-cheat" module and that they did not do anything about it although complaints have been pouring in for the greater part of a year now R* would open themselves up for a legal beating and suddenly lend credence to all the eyewitness reports claiming as much. The legal and PR damage would be much greater. If they keep pretending that nothing at all is going on they are keeping lawsuits all but impossible and there are more than enough fanbois out there who will decry any witness as a liar who was caught cheating but would not admit it, all while the biggest part of their playerbase never even gets a whiff of the story because they do not read forums and most publications would be unwilling to anger the big dog with allegations lacking tangible evidence.

It seems my alt account is going to be re-re-re-fixed, after being suspended, reinstated then full character wipe some days after. I'm not formally saying it made a difference, but asking it to the french support seemed to work better than when asking US one. My request has been positvely answered in like 24 hours.

Please kindly read through the whole thread before assuming that people here are all liars (the link to R* support was placed at top of this thread).. There were hundreds of players being affected (I, being one of them) on the same day and few said there were being banned during the tutorial session.

 

Meanwhile, what is the point of this ongoing bitching in here if "we" are really cheating? We don't really have to convince you that we aren't right?

Just use your brain joined-an-hour-ago, peoples who cheat don't mind losing an account, they just keep buying cheap ones over and over and max out money/properties in 1 minute thanks to their modmenus so you probably won't see them here complaining about being suspended/banned, they don't care, after 400lvl in this game you still haven't figured why there is still so many script kids around despite all banwaves?

 

And yeah at the end you know its an unjust ban because R* sends message like that:

GTA Online is so dead to me.

 

If I play online I face the risk of cheaters and hackers griefing me.... OR R* games removing legit cash and banning me.

 

I haven't been banned, but since I had 600k legit cash removed last August, I am not a happy camper and dont want to risk my account. Ive dropped 1.3-.15k on this heckin game and I'd be very angry if that investment was deleted and I was simply outright refused an appeal or to be provided with any proof.

hold on, getting banned in the tutorial does make sense though. modders need to make new accounts when they get banned, so if they still have mods installed, that is precisely when they should get banned again. i'm not saying they're right about all the bans but ideally modders should be banned before they even touch a public loby.

 

also i'd like to point out that i money glitch the sh*t out of this game on one of my accounts and it's not banned on console nor has any money ever been removed. does anti cheat even exist on console in any capacity?

There is no anti-cheat on console and there never will be. As soon as consoles get cracked, it'll become the sh*t show PC is, and without any hope of an anti-cheat.

 

If the anti-cheat even so much as sneezes on a Xbox or Playstation process then Microsoft and Sony will rip open R* and Take Two's asshole, step inside it, and then proceed to beat the living sh*t out of their sh*t.

If you try to go online with mods installed, you are presented with an error message telling you that your game is incompatible.

Thats why the scriptkids inject their bullsh*t programms while online is already running.

Well damn, I've heard a few new reports over the last 3 days or so about people getting banned for no reason, again. It's a shambles that in support you mostly talk to robots and the first sanction for something that's as random as a lottery, is a total account reset

... I got "some" personal replies which got c&p'd from the ongoing discussion. But I'm not sad. I know whom I'm dealing with (insert R* (support) insults here). Tomorrow I'm unleashed again and meanwhile I found a website with some guys+menus who offer "full account recovery". Why not - I'll pay them $20 and get my stats and a sh*tload of cash back I've lost. It's worth trying once.

 

If I get permabanned then - I couldn't care less tbh. If it works, I had a great month with my old games and shadow-reading the forum here. And on top of that, enough cash to only buy the stuff I want (looking at you, Pegasus list). It's worth for me.

 

Maybe see you in a couple days once I re-configured my 3.725h char.

I've been inclined in the past to question the honesty of single players claiming to have been unjustly banned. But this is lots and lots of players all at once. A handful here and many more on Reddit. They're not lying, not all of them anyway. Rockstar messed up. This has my full support.

But yeah, that many at once is a problem. I would think people could complain to consumers affairs or the Better Business Bureau if they spent good money on the game only to get banned from playing it for no reason.

Writing as much information about what happened in an email in a professional way along with a receipt for the game and the fact that first they took your money for the game and then unjustly banned you from playing it and sending that to the Better Business Bureau or the most appropriate agency and copying Rockstar might get something done.

I barely even knew that forums existed until recently, why do these people spend so much time watching forums to respond to each and every post about a ban instead of playing the game?

 

I know I didn't cheat. I'm fully willing to own up to any other form of wrongdoing, if only I knew what it is I'm supposed to have done. Was it something I said in chat? I have no idea. According to some of the posters "explaining" the bans they think it could be because you were rude in the chat months or years ago ("interfering with other players’ gameplay experience").

If that is what is happening, instead of false bans, that wouldn't be any better. In every other online game I've played for that sort of thing they give warnings, tell you vaguely what you did so you can correct your behaviour, and then escalate the bans if you keep doing it. They don't wipe your character on the first infringement, and they don't let you do something for months or years before randomly punishing you without explanation.
