The ticket still shows as "open" on the R* website. It seems that I've received an automated messages from the SocialClub. That sucks.. I just logged in to check if all my cars were still there. All was well but maby I'll wait a bit before start grinding any more cash for cars..

I got email saying my account is reviewed and fully reinstated.

 

EDIT; My social club stats looks really weird...

 

 

Mine too but only for single player. I previously completed the SP mode then recently started over from scratch to play again with a different approach. Somehow it changed my SC stats. I then deleted the new saved game, loaded an older one and played a little in SP, stats didn't update on SC.

 

I'll probably let the account sit for a few days to see what happens in R* world.

I would re raise a ticket but don't use the word ban or it will probably be auto closed.

I've been told the same but "after" I had created my ticket on Feb 25. Thus I did open it under "ban related" and the title of my ticket was "Grand Theft Auto Online - PC - Cheat/Exploit Report or banning Issue". Oddly enough it wasn't automatically closed as suggested across the internet. That alone was a sign (for me) that R* was very well aware that THEY screwed up instead of their customers. Just checked again and that ticket does indeed now display as resolved and closed.

Amazing... My most recent request to investigate my banning issue (to prevent being closed, I put it under "Online Connectivity Issue") was being closed after hanging there for 4 days... They didn't even bother to give me an auto-reply/ cut & paste answer... If only my job allows me to treat customers like the way they did... just wow...

 

I have sent in a request under "banning" this time and see how they will answer as few of you guys had stated that they won't close the file that easy now... *Fingers crossed...

I have no idea why do you keep bombing support team, best thing they can do is to report unusual amount of tickets to someone above, who authorized to make decisions, which is already done. Now you just waste both theirs and your time.

Btw I've got wrongfully banned for two weeks too, not in the game tho, but gtao subreddit, I did nothing wrong except being extremly rude to Infamous cheats developer. Obviously I'm not agreed to this, because modders are pure cancer and should be witch hunted no matter what, but I realise you can't except everyone to make perfect decisions.

Yup same thing happened last year, you would think they would be more careful next time but they ended up banning even more legit players, then unbaning them and rebanning them again. I wonder what's next.

Wow I just posted another ticket and the same second that I hit sent I got the typical bot reply and tickets closed. Literally in a second. If you write a ticket don't put it under the appeal ban category it's an insta bot response.

2. Your theory is bullsh*t. There is no need to unbann people to update banscripts.

If that would be the case they would need to unbann everyone everytime they change something on their banscripts and they did not do that in the past.

That's worrying. I've been doing a bit of manual profile research myself. There's an absolute f*ck load of profiles I can find that have clearly taken the p155 with either dupe car glitching or cash injections that are totally fine.

 

Then other players whose stats that looked totally legit who have been banned still.

 

It would take someone who works for the company all of 20 minutes worth of my spare time to realise it's a total mess. I'm getting really angry now about it all and I haven't even been banned myself. How can they be so retarded as to not realise they've been screwing over their most loyal fans and missing stuff that's blatantly dodgy*

 

*Ok we need to be careful in the sense that some people may have had their stats messed with involuntarily, but it's indicative their ban wave policy is a big pile of crap.

Im still banned (2º round) and Im losing hopes. Playing fair for this (Not a single dupe car, glitch, mod, xploit, hack. NOTHING). I dont deserve it. f*ck this. And cheaters playing fine while im banned.

 

Of course, i wont come back when my temporal end. 1400h playing and i will need to repeat them to get what i got? nah.

If that would be the case they would need to unbann everyone everytime they change something on their banscripts and they did not do that in the past.

They simply never had to fix mistakes in banning algorithm before. So this is probably exactly how it suppose to happen.

Considering I had $600k legit removed from my account last year when R* had a brain fart and started emptying legit players accounts - no way I am signing on or playing this game for a while.

Their anti-cheat is a damn joke. I see blatant hackers everywhere, they go unpunished and then legit players get smacked down because some crappy poorly coded algorithm is handing out false positives like candy.

 

You'd think with the BILLIONS R* and T2 made they could manage to run their company professionally.

Something else that goes against your theory:

There are players who got a ban, then got unbanned and have NOT got a reban. Going by ypur logic these people wouod be banned again now.

"Brief period" means exactly the time between two bans, otherwise it would make no sense to mention it at all.

They had to do that nearly a year ago when their automated system f*cked up the first time.

 

Had to do what? They reverted everything and pretended nothing happened, this time is completely different and more complicated story as they didn't give up and wanted to finish what they started. So yes, this happening in a first time.

This is what new, less sensitive algorithm was meant to do - ignore more or less clean accounts and ban only most fishy of them. This is exactly what my "theory" is, jeez, I don't think you even trying to follow me here.

The problem with fatdog, and why I suspect a lot of right thinking GTA Forumers increasingly dislike him, is that he's starting with a "guilty until proven innocent" approach.

 

It's impossible for us to see the stats of the players who are still suspended, so to assume they did something wrong is to judge them guilty with no evidence. To assume every player still under a ban has indeed broken the EULA is to assume that R*'s banning algorithm must be perfect. Firstly, there's no such thing as the perfect algorithm in general, and secondly, by admission of their own actions, R* have implicitly shown they believe they get it wrong themselves, as on two well documented occasions they've unbanned a large volume of people. To declare with certainty they've got it right now is to ignore all historical evidence.

 

On the other hand I, and I suspect many others here, know some people still banned. Some I've played with for years, and over many hours I have never once seem them do anything remotely dodgy. Their stats and money are completely in line with what you would expect for players who had sunk their length of time into the game. The idea that these players were secretly doing something dodgy makes no sense - and when you couple that with the fact R* have implicitly admitted they make mistakes on previous occasions, there is only one sane conclusion to draw.

 

Also anyone with an ounce of ability to engage in some forward thinking might realise R*'s justice system has been shown to make mistakes, and when it does the result is immediate character execution with no right to appeal. The obvious thought is you can be as clean as you like, and this could happen to any of us in the future.

 

This is not rocket science. I don't believe anyone can be so dumb as to not get this. So I'm calling him out as a troll, pure and simple.

The anticheat doesn't work. It can't adequately differentiate between legitimate players and cheaters. Until there comes a point when it can, there shouldn't be character wipes.

 

Character wipes don't punish those who deserve it in any case, $5 and they'll be back online with a modded account while the players with hundreds or thousands of hours of character build lose everything.

This is the most disgusting thing of all really. As you say, actual cheaters can easily avoid the punishment. The only people who suffer are the innocent.
