Any news anywhere on a possible PC Port by now or is all hope just pretty much lost? I know the PS2/PS3 versions had major lag/framerate issues. Unsure if it's on the PS4 and/or if it would perform better there.

 

I did really enjoy this game through the years when I could play it, but I never wanted to get and use a PSP for it, so I had to suck it up and deal with the console versions.

 

Does Rockstar have any interest whatsoever on bringing this to PC? Or is there some other method of bringing it to PC perchance? I know adapting a PSP game to other systems can be a challenge, but FF Type-0 was one game that transferred quite well to the PS4, no visible framerate issues.

Just no. R* is focused in GTA Online right now. They don't care about the old PS2 GTA era. You can play it in Mobile though but isn't the same feel in my opinion, stick to your PS2 version or by a mod.

Yes, it's definitely not going to happen, lol. GTA 5 is the money maker, and that's where they will put their time and money. Sorry pal.

Do you know what the problem is? Tones of sh*tty and gay ass mods are developed everyday. Can just someone just hurry up, put some real effort and make a SA/VC/III based or whatever VCS/LCS pc port already?

And not those awful russians mods single-language'd with nothing but only a few and meaningless features finished.

Why is it that every time one of these mods comes to a release build, it's always the same assets that have been finished? Props, peds, most vehicles, map changes, etc. It's always the SCM that's only 10% done at most while it's the most important part of every GTA game, in my opinion. I couldn't really care less about running around in the LCS world on PC if it's just a reskin with nothing to do but make up your own fun.

Because making the SCM requires a lot of experience with coding. It has to be made entirely from scratch.

I get that, and you'd think nowadays there'd be at least one guy who could pump this sh*t out in short order much like the surplus of modelers and graphic designers floating around here.

Anybody can create/port graphics and models, but not many people can srite scripts. And the people who can do that are usually busy with more important stuff.

So why bother to release at all without a faithful, working script? Off the top of my head I can think of at least three mods, including this one, that accomplish exactly the same thing without ever meaningfully progressing past this point. This is so... meh. It's like tasting water.

Well, he has been showing pictures of the cutscenes in the BETA findings thread. There is also the Taxi sidemissions and the LCS aiming system thanks to Spaceeinstein. SE is also researching the LCS opcodes which will make missions be ported directly from the game.

Unlike the other mods, this ones uses content from the mobile versions, which made the progress faster and more proper than before. Also proper radios and ped lines!

It's because SCM is a terrible coding language and most of the time people are doing it blind, look at VCS PC, we're probably the furthest to get a good chunk of missions done but still ran into problems with later missions because these games and the SCM language is just retarded at times.
