Well, have not found better evidence then what i posted here...one screenshot showing a 900 and something rank send trough a whatsapp chat, but with no further specifics so pretty much could have been anyones(i know it is mine though, nobody in said chat ever held such a rank besides me.

Actually, to be fair the rank is kinda the least of my worries...i am more concerned of being asked to prove how much money i earned overall....which sure is more then i had in januari !

Darth, mate, relax about it a bit. There is no f*cking proof of your income that may force them to change anything, I guarantee it. Just got off the chat with a modder and he's pretty sure it's almost impossible for R* to detect some methods of cash injections (he's got serious credentials from a lot of undetected users). A lot of modded accounts are flying under the radar with rank around around 120 and $ under 200 mil (more conservative estimate is 100 mil, that's now guaranteed safe sum). I discussed your case with him and his ideas are that you was either hit by faulty detection because of rank (he claims there is a glitch in their system that may increase probability of your ban with rank >600 on PC) or that was report-based thing. And your time played stats can't be modified, but by some miracle is not participating in R* detection process if it's not a manual ban. I won't disclose who I was talking with in public, but can provide photos of our messaging.

Good advice, but wow man, i have a hard time relaxing over this.

I have not felt this much anger in years...thank god i did get better at containing myself.

Lol, like really though, there is a confirmed bug in their detection system ?!

Hmm, kinda bad to say but i hope they end up accidently banning every dedicated player above 600 so we can start a new riot(after all that sh*t with open V, what a joke) and not rest until this sh*t gets either restored or we just get restored to any rank we want and get 500 mil ingame for or trouble and all stats and special limited edition things unlocked and an immunity against bad sport, since like really, any dedicated player who had this happen by fault really deserves that.

Fortunately I have a vid of my stats I recorded last night this only because I was vetting a friend request.

I have mates with more hours than me who have also been banned and others who have not. As a trio we mostly heist together, two of us are banned the one 950 not. We never exploit, we leave sessions where all hell is breaking loose, kick those who are cheating. Between us we have invested 9000 odd hours on GTAO PC. WHY would we jeopardise that for a cheat of an exploit?

Any I think it all started with a message that appeared last night saying we account details have been amended...

So, this is a PC only thing then in the end and not just an isolated case ?

If we for an example start a petition we should have a basic idea what is going wrong at the moment.

I wanted to come in with a snarky "PC master race" comment, but truthfully I just feel bad for you folks. Rockstar has never had control of GTA Online on that platform. They're like a driver asleep at the wheel, but worse: occasionally they wake up just long enough to panic and swerve into a school bus full of kids.

I think it's likely to be PC-only and probably has to do with their cheat detection now picking up random money drops (even though you didn't ask for them and even reported them to Rockstar).

Yeah it seems PC only, there's no point at the moment for them to change the cheat detection on the current consoles as it's pretty much closed up and sorted now, even duping is mostly closed. But they have changed something on PC and it hasn't worked, even more innocents are being banned than before and it was already an issue before.

Can we report r* to the bbb or the better business bureau I think that is the USA version.

Ea might not win worst company of the year this year if this keeps up

In Australia we have consumer rights who would certainly go after Rockstar over something like this, I guess a lot of countries have a similar organisation. Consumer rights here have taken down big banks, oil companies.. Big retail, anyone who is doing dodgy business.

I play GTA:O on console and haven't heard from any of my friends if they've been banned... yet.

Of these friends, I know several who've partaken in many of the exploits/glitches mentioned in this thread but, as stated, none of them have gotten a correction screen or anything similar.

With this in mind, after looking through this thread, support tickets, and Reddit posts, I'm assuming most if not all of these false bans are for PC players?

If that is indeed the case, R* and T2 are really doing a number on their reputation, especially with regards to their PC audience considering the entire OpenIV debacle.

I'm assuming PC mostly as well, given the reports of modded money drops being so common. And most of the stuff I read on the Reddit thread linked from the first page also seemed to be PC players too.

It would be good if anyone having this happen can specifically state their platform though, for clarity's sake, all the same - it should help us try to better understand what factors are triggering this BS

Tempted to start a petition over this to be honest, thing is the people claiming to be legit on here must be, just like me totally legit and not just being fake outs and preferably have proof of them not being cheaters that just want a way from out their justified banning.

edit: which i know is indeed gonna be hard to prove with screen shots if they reset everything ! ugh....

Yes and it's happening for quite some time. Because R* can't properly track progress and it's easily modifiable on PC, it happens on a regular basis. Check reddit for example.

As far as I'm informed, they're only using their detection tools on PC players because it makes no sense on consoles. Transfers are done for and modded accounts are going for $100 for under 100 mil, it's bespoke goods not worth controlling.

Even though this issue is currently occuring in the PC version of GTA Online, I still get a weird feeling that this could happen on the Consoles too

There isn't anything to look for on consoles, there's no money drops, accounts where people have duped in the past look perfectly fine (they just have high car sales but often people that sell Dubsters have sold more. And all the old modded accounts on consoles have already been through a money correction last year, only about one in six got hit but the agreement was there would be a money wipe and you can continue playing after that so a ban now after that agreement would be kinda stupid. I can't see it happening.

No, console players are majority of R* congregation. As I said before transfers are closed and modded accounts are bespoke goods with a slow sales. R* can't implement proper anti-cheat and their only solution is to hide behind Sony and MS closed architecture. Once it's penetrated, they're pretty much done. Therefore until it happens, console users are safe from unjustified bans on a scale we're seeing on PC.

Logging in on PS4 this morning, no issue, assuming a PC issue here too. But can assure 100% cheat free here, though unrelated to PC but if such actions are needed me signing and being checked for infringements should be perfectly fine...

Just reading this, I'm sure they could try to find something, like I mentioned where VIP work earnings aren't in the stats specifically, for example.

Maybe that's their 'get out of jail card'... Just speculating (With a little angst)

Any idea were this detection is going wrong exactly though ?

I mean, ok, all ranks above 600 are in danger but anything else, like for an example the system being triggered because of once during playing this being gifted modded money and the system not caring about what you did about it or even reported it like i pretty much did ?

I feel sorry for you, OP, I really do. Good luck in getting this sorted out and remember to keep calm when chatting with support or Rockstar staff.

I created the 'Legit Level 1000 Club' a while back, and half expect to get the following message when I finally get there:

CONGRATULATIONS ON REACHING LEVEL 1000.

Also if they run an over zealous anti cheat that made mistakes through PS4 like they have on PC today it would be very very bad for buisness compared to doing it on PC where they really make no money from other than selling multiple copies of the game to everyone they ban.

I wonder if any of the racing crew guys have been banned? those guys have barely done anything in GTA ever other than racing and they are all well over rank 1000. If they are getting banned then the world really has gone to sh*t

No intel on that whatsoever mate, sorry. It was a suggestion made by commercial account modder who is only informed about this thing from open sources and conducts his own analysis. Once again, it's only hypothesis, but majority of players were >600. My friend got his cash 'corrected' in such a manner that his legitimate Criminal mastermind cut and vehicle export cash was gone and severely excelling modded cash on second rank 1 char was untouched.

All stuff I can agree with dude, just I have seen one rank 6000 (not 6k, 6234 or something) join a session with me and a few guys from here.

Nothing came of it, and I left not long after as I take no risks, again, until recently (this year really) I'm learning so much about these things so my fears could be a little over done, once burned and all that... Lol.

I think this is your issue, Darth. Sorry, mate but "pretty much" reporting money drops is not the same as 'actually' reporting it. Did you fully report this money and have it wiped by Rockstar support? If you did then you're OK and have a case to present. Otherwise you're going to have to bite the bullet I'm afraid and accept the account reset.

The account suspension doesn't seem too bad - a month, but the data wipe is really really harsh. Unbelievably harsh. Sorry!

Just need a lot of people behind it, and hopefully for it to get picked up by big youtubers, news sites, etc.

Here's an angle for you: will you report the cash that was stolen from you if you printed it with your mates with 0 income source? Probably not, if you're not complete imbecile. Same goes with Online PC: of course they ban modded accounts, it's perfectly logical. The thing is, you can only hear stories from legit players and cheaters are silent for a goddamn reason. We can only see collateral damage, but the scale of crap on PC is huuuge.
