Non justified banning is happening !

I think *Take Two may actually be punishing legit players with too much money and no sharkcard purchases. I bet you this is happening only to non sharkcard buyers with large sums of money and lots of play time because after all, you're the type of player Take Two doesn't make any money off of. Scared to go check my ps4. Never bought a sharkcard and always have money for their DLCs. I'm what they would like to get rid of. Is this happening on all systems?

Hope it gets resolved. Btw, my character had also been "reset" on PlayStation, and nothing was changed in the end.

Haven't read the whole thread atm (will do), but like to share my situation:

 

All on PC:

1st, oldest char/account since start of the game: Save, but got multiple RP and $$$ which I always reported to R* and got removed here and there

2nd char/account, got some cash - no RP, never reported to R*, cash was deleted after GR, account save

3rd char/account, never got any RP/$$$ - everything is fine of course

4th char/account, got a sh*tload of modded cash, spent most of it (because why not) and RP. $$$ and RP where corrected after last update, still fine.

 

ALL accounts never did a dupeglitch, char. 1,2 &4 did PS repeatglitch multiple times (in sum arround 100).

 

Just throwing in some experiences, wouldn't help Darth of course, whom I see like a legit player as he said and writes here/due to his behaviour/opinion here in the forums.

 

A shame what's going on, tbh.

Heared online by friends that arround 12 (for now) other friends got a ban, too, where I might say, at least 6 of them are trustful and never would use a menu of their own)

Well, have not found better evidence then what i posted here...one screenshot showing a 900 and something rank send trough a whatsapp chat, but with no further specifics so pretty much could have been anyones(i know it is mine though, nobody in said chat ever held such a rank besides me.

 

Actually, to be fair the rank is kinda the least of my worries...i am more concerned of being asked to prove how much money i earned overall....which sure is more then i had in januari !

As much as i never actually had forseen to get banned by rockstar themselves, at least i have partially foreseen to lose a few of my things, so i actually put all my cars and bikes paint jobs on paper.

 

 

Along with the basic specifics on how to (re)create my 2 characters.

 

 

Well, guess i at least have this still then...man...just as i finally thought i might never would need to need those again....i will probably need every single f*cking detail i recorded and can get my hands on again !

 

Also thanks myself for actually recording and uploading a video with all my vehicles on them, so i might even find back all the specifics on their original wheels and visual customization options.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that keeps, and uses a note pad/paper to keep track of my babies... Often a new car came and I just found it so much easier than visiting far away garages, remembering patterns and themes...

i believe they still have data of progress in their backups. some time ago one of my friend's account got stolen and a lot money got spent, other damage was made. when rockstar (surprisingly) gave it back for him, they restored all the stuff from a certain date. though the question is if they ever are going to consider this banning problem at all.

Darth, mate, relax about it a bit. There is no f*cking proof of your income that may force them to change anything, I guarantee it. Just got off the chat with a modder and he's pretty sure it's almost impossible for R* to detect some methods of cash injections (he's got serious credentials from a lot of undetected users). A lot of modded accounts are flying under the radar with rank around around 120 and $ under 200 mil (more conservative estimate is 100 mil, that's now guaranteed safe sum). I discussed your case with him and his ideas are that you was either hit by faulty detection because of rank (he claims there is a glitch in their system that may increase probability of your ban with rank >600 on PC) or that was report-based thing. And your time played stats can't be modified, but by some miracle is not participating in R* detection process if it's not a manual ban. I won't disclose who I was talking with in public, but can provide photos of our messaging.

Hmm, kinda bad to say but i hope they end up accidently banning every dedicated player above 600 so we can start a new riot(after all that sh*t with open V, what a joke) and not rest until this sh*t gets either restored or we just get restored to any rank we want and get 500 mil ingame for or trouble and all stats and special limited edition things unlocked and an immunity against bad sport, since like really, any dedicated player who had this happen by fault really deserves that.

Well I was also banned for no reason some months ago, I was rank 513 as I played since PS3 era, all that legit playtime (I even had the luck to avoid the billionare days) went to thrash

 

Rockstar ignored my tickets and my character was reseted, what I did? Contact with a guy who, for 5$ gave me 900 million, my original rank, and every property (the MC Club, yacht, all these things)

Maybe it is like in these sci-fi movies. They banned you for cheating in the future.

I'm grown ass man with a wife and responsibilities so I will get over it, despite the initial frustration and probably moved on from online altogether. I'm no way getting back on consoles after butter-smooth gameplay and total freedom of gaming periphery I may use, better graphics, sound and my goddamn music in any possible format I may play. Consider moving on with your life, because starting over after this is not an option.

Conspiracy side but, good call, I did made a negative review (more for support of real butthurt people than for myself since I don't even mod single player in this game) and I was banned this morning.

Probably not to be honest - if they were punishing people who spoke out against them, I'd probably have been bumped off long ago.

 

If there's any big movement to fix this, let me know if there's anything I can do to help. Sponsoring it on my thread, mentioning it there, to friends, etc. Maybe I'll even make a cr*ppy little video to spread the word. It's not much, but when it comes to characters being wiped - well, it's like one of the worst things that could happen to one of us.

Some advice when dealing with R* on the phone.

 

If you deal with someone who claims they can't do anything about it. HANG UP and call right back. And keep doing so until you find someone whos competent enough to do their job.

 

 

Listen to their tone of voice.. Look for the cool people. If they ain't cool, they won't help you.

Friend got suspended and reset after having never modded once.

 

Don't bother with the support line either, the guy on the other end literally just read out their policy on bans and suspensions.

 

They do not care.

 

Not sure why they even have the support line if all they use it for is insulting their player's intelligence.

This would be a justified cause for review bombing.

 

I just hope the effectiveness of review bombing wasn't diminished by the misguided attack over OpenIV.

Often a new car came and I just found it so much easier than visiting far away garages, remembering patterns and themes...I do it too, started when the last ban wave happened. I have screenshots of my character with my username, rank & bank balance with every vehicle I currently own and of all custom interiors. Warehouse map, the clubhouse computer screen that shows owned biker businesses. Screenshots of the web pages for every purchase made, weekly screenshots of SC showing my rp and rank progress etc.

 

Not that it would make a bit of difference if I was ever banned. Just gives me piece of mind knowing I could put a solid case of appeal forward and that R* would have to ignore solid evidence of me being legit to uphold a ban against me.
