I am asking you point blank, do you not discern any difference whatsoever between one guy saying he got banned unjustly and thousands saying it? If not, why not?

 

Or let me ask you another point-blank question: if today everyone on the game got banned except you, would you still assume they were all cheaters?

Lots of individuals have always said it, but seldom has a sweep resulted in this many complaints all at once, with people vouching for each other and saying multiple legit players on their friends list got banned at the same time. Anyway, it's funny to see you still sticking to this stance now that Rockstar is going through and reversing the bans wholesale, apparently. It's already after the fact, already clear that the assumption that the system was faulty was correct, yet somehow you still don't see it. Fascinating.

I got suspended for 10 days because two modders were dropping a ton of cash on me as I was running to get my vehicle. I contacted R* about it with video evidence to back up my claim, they could see that I was (at the time) rank 87 with only 1.2M at first (before the modders dropped $$$$ on me) and after. I was recording the whole of it the second modders started teleporting to me. Three days later, BOOM! Banned. Cash reset to $200,000 from 1.2M. Rank wasn't reset but my cash was and got a 10 day ban after I was assured I wouldn't get banned for this.

You know I hope gizmonomono and ragedandcaged never get access to sat nav in their car (assuming they are old enough to even drive). I can just see both of them driving their car into a raging river because the automated sat nav is saying there is a bridge there but their f*cking eyeballs are saying there isn't Naturally they will conclude their eyeballs are lying and the sat nav is correct and they will drive to their doom .......... hm lets all crowd fund sat nav cars for them ;-)

 

It is pretty clear that the automated banning script has failed big time here. Another user here suggested it could be down to waiting too long in the bunker. I think this might be it. I know one friend that spent a good few hours in the bunker, he truly is a villain of the highest order. I mean why would you spend a couple of hours in the bunker ? could he be nefariously grinding the research ? NOPE. Oh oh perhaps he was being really evil and had secretly fooled the game into god mode by pretending to be in the bunker ? Nope. So what other reason could there be for him spending hours in the bunker .......... oh right the shooting range challenges which he did and now mocks me for cos I haven't done them YET.

 

So how about this perhaps Rockstar forgot to tell it's precious little bot that there is a genuine game play reason for people spending extended lengths of time in their bunker and perhaps because the bot was not told this it flagged legitimate players that have not broken any rules whatsoever therefore they are INNOCENT and the bans were UNJUSTIFIED.

I can see that getting death threats isn't fun but in all seriousness, did everyone here give you death threats? The situation probably won't be any better if you're bitter to a lot of people even if they didn't do anything. I don't know the situation and I don't have anything against you but I have to ask: is it the bitterness or do you seriously don't see that something fishy was going on?

I don't believe all the stories (thinking about previous bans etc) either but I've never seen this number of people saying they were falsely banned and so many people vote for each other, so I think that there's is a large number who's falsely banned this time. And probably also a lot of people who did something wrong..

I wish everyone who was somewhat objective would go to youtube and search heckler part 1. Watch each part. All free of charge. It mostly addresses stand up comedy but relates to all media. Worth a watch IMO.

Then perhaps Rockstar could come forward and explain what went wrong and offer an apology to all those that were affected by this. Something was introduced with the gun running dlc that wrongly flagged legitimate players as cheaters. All the people I knew that were banned have been in gta for 2 years or more not a single one of them has ever had a first time ban this was their first and only ban. So for two years they played the game with no problem, gun running comes out bang huge swathes of people are banned. So something in the gun running DLC caused the issue.

You have to extrapolate a little bit. There are a number of users here - I didn't count but it's way more than just Darth, There was a much larger number on the linked Reddit thread(s). Some of those people talked about how multiple others from their friends list were banned. There are still more posting on Rockstar's community forum. Still others on YouTube, making videos about it and commenting on those videos. And if you have any sense you know this is just the tip of the iceberg; the majority of GTA players don't post in any of these places.

 

No one knows the exact number except maybe Rockstar, but when you see this kind of outpouring of complaints online you can bet your ass that it actually affected *at least* hundreds of players, and probably thousands, given the size of the player base. Online posting is just a tiny statistical sampling of the overall effect of anything they do.

cheers for everyone who got their bans lifted! these two days were totally fked up, but finally r* fixed this nonsense. got all my stats and even money back too. though would be really nice if r* would make a statement or at least sent emails to all wrongfully banned with some sort of apologies. or even give us some ingame reward, like dindunuffin tshirt haha. well anyway enjoy your unbans:D

Quitting the game at a certain point to avoid it being registered as complete is not something the designers planned to happen so it's obvious non-legit.

I'm glad he got his character back... Losing one's character with all attached properties, cars, awards, level,... is the worst part of a ban/reset...

Ofcourse money too, but I ever had to pick which I would lose, the choice would be very easy, despite the magnitude of grinding time invested here...

I would be damn pissed if I would lose Zornia... (Time to investigate her ancestors, when I get back to gaming, so I can resurrect her, should such calamity arrive some day... You never know these days, with all the stuff happening)

 

Let's hope that last part for Darth will get re-instated as well...

^^I truly second this. Happened many times to myself. They saw my level, asked if I know the trick. But they invited me as random to the final. Not gaining any influence in what they're doing before. (OK, did it myself, but that's another story, honestly).

Lots of ppl finale surf, thats not the issue. The host who keeps hosting finales b2b is working the exploit. Thats where r* is concerned about. Personally i think its lame, but r* is acting shadier by the day it seems. T2 is the devils advocate lol.
