AndyC-M
My character has most vehicles but I feel its now time for him to own a fighter jet, so what are the guns like and which is better, faster and more agile, Hydra or Besra? many thanks
update_lsc
The besra doesn't have guns. It's a lot of fun to fly though, this thing is so agile. Even more agile than the lazer. You should get both to be honest, the hydra is useful for a lot of things, and the besra is just fun to fly around with. Goingcrowd9
If you want to cause carnage and like to land almost everywhere... Hydra But if you want an agile jet that has good brakes and lauches itself (take-off) quickly and don't really care about fighting other people... Besra I find the Hydra WAY more usefull... however I use my Besra way more often then my Hydra. Or like sugested before, buy both.
pez2k
The Besra is hugely fun to fly and well worth the money just for the enjoyment. There's a low-flying mission in the Flight School which is an accurate simulation of the day-to-day experience of owning a Besra. The Hydra on the other hand is pretty much the best vehicle there is for doing work - fast, heavily armed, can land pretty much anywhere (albeit fragile). It's probably the only (non-rocket) vehicle over $1.5m that's actually worth the asking price. Goingcrowd9
Arrows to Athens
The Hydra is faster in a straight line and has a hovering mode, while the Besra is lighter and is much more agile; however, the Besra is not armed. Goingcrowd9
Alvarez
I would say Besra, it would feel like an achievement to kill anyone with it, especially now. Arrows to Athens and Goingcrowd9
AndyC-M
ah ok, ive not flown one, and was under the impression that it was armoured, most lobbies I go into have a fighter jet in them, I'm up for a bit of dog fighting

I would recommend getting a Besra at some point though, as they're really good fun to fly and can out-manoeuvre Hydras and Lazers easily.

Chimpokomon
I love to sneak behind helicopters with my Besra and see the occupants bail in panic, all followed by a "trololololo" message. Goingcrowd9
Kaiju Blue
Get both. The Hydra is great for combat, obviously, and is generally more versatile, but I always bust out the Besra when it comes to most flight-related freeroam events, particularly the one where you have to go under bridges, since the Hydra is in my experience much harder to manoeuvre around the tighter spots, such as the series of bridges in the LS storm drain, which I'm not even sure it fits under. So yeah, get both! They're great fun, and as others have said, scaring other players with a Besra is always amusing. But the Hydra will serve you well in fights. Prince_Polaris
How good is the besra at landing? I need a plane to get from place to place, and while I can land my Cuban 800 on most roads, it uh... doesn't exactly handle it too well.

Niiiice, cause usually the places I need to go have like, no room to land so I end up whacking the cuban into something. (It's my go-to airplane, love that thing to death!) Now I need to choose between a besra or that fancy new tampa.... Goingcrowd9

Now I need to choose between a besra or that fancy new tampa....I like to land my Cuban800 at the road leading to my (the cheapest) office... then 'taxi' it to the entrance. Source vehichle, exit to ground and take-off again . I don't have the problem of having to choose between the Besra and the W&W Tampa, since I already have the Besra, but I am broke (well $60000 that is...) and really want that half-track and W&W Tampa... and think having both a normal dune buggy and an armed one would be great too ! If R*/take2long didn't nerf the Mallard I would have bought that as well... but nervermind then . I *think* the GR vehichles get a discount *soon* (couple of months) so if you are not in a hurry perhaps get the Besra before the Tampa ? Edit: I don't think players who will be/ are mowed down by the tampa's guns think it is a 'fancy' vehichle . Heh, yeah, it's fun to land the cuban on roads, I just always manage to hit something... and sometimes that something ends with me taking back off with one less propellar! I'm slightly less broke, got about half a million, boy I sure love how expensive everything is >_< And I don't wanna wait a couple months for muh tampa, I already unlocked the dual guns so I want it as soon as I can afford it! And I haven't actually met one in freemode, nor another halftrack, just APCs and oppressors
