The game is for 18+ they simply shouldn't be on it and should be removed. They spoil it.

My two lads both play GTA, and they are coming up for 11 and 8 years old. The youngest plays it more than the eldest, but he spends most of his time either making god awful looking cars or playing the parkour deathmatches (I hate those, but he loves them)

In free roam, he tends to just hook up with his pals and they either ride BMX's around looking for the skate parks, or have skirmishes between themselves on the streets,he rarely bothers with strangers.

I don't particularly subscribe to the idea that GTAO is fit only for 18 year olds and above.

You know, if you don't want to deal with kids, mute them. That's all there is to it.

Ummm.... you didn't read it all properly did ya mate....

Muting them only solves 1 lil bit

Firstly, I'm an American, and reading is illegal here. I'm probably going to be sentenced to hard time in the hamburger mines just for posting this.

Secondly, literally anybody can play like that. There's no telling if every sh*tter on the block is a kid or not unless you can hear them speak or know who they are.

Most of the sh*tters I've met have been older than me, and I'm 21. Literally anybody with a copy of the game and an internet connection can be the insufferable prick hellbent on thinking they're Trolling You XDDDD by spamming explosives while you wander around in passive not playing along.

Rockstar making efforts to ban these """kids""" would mean that random users would get dropped, because there's no telling who is actually behind the character or who the account belongs to.

Mute them if they're loud, stomp them if they're hostile.

tbh i grew up with gta when i was like 8yrs old and my pops rented me gta 3 for the first time, and as soon as i started playing it i got automatically hooked to the series for the next decade and so on

but in all honesty i never touched online games until i was in my teens (like 14-15) because you get subjected to things outside the control of the ERSB rating, then most parents get understandably upset when their 10yr old knows racial slurs, an excessive vulgar vocabulary, or even act out some of this sh*t that they were doing in the game, then the parents freak the f*ck out and demand whatever game company to change things so they're kids cant be exposed to this stuff again, therefore altering and changing the game to suit the needs of kids that shouldnt be playing in the first place.

i understand not all kids are like this and same thing can be said for the parents but literally theres only so much people can really do in terms of kids playing online mature games, i literally remember watching this kid play either cod or gta online on his xbox and met another player who "promised" him a bunch of new content or whatever for a bit of information, now this kid being a kid not understanding the way the internet works and some of the scumbags that use it, this kid gave this other guy online his dad's credit card # then what do ya know, the dude just jacked the kid's dad $500 all because this kid was being stupid online thinking everybody is out to help them and then gets jacked.

then what happens? the parents start freaking out and demanding that Microsoft do something to fix this issue weither it be reinbursment from microsoft's wallet or something else and its like... really? so now Microsoft are just supposed to shut down their messaging app's over some dumb kid's mistake? or payout to this family cause this kid just got nigerian level scammed?

idk im not totally against kids playing online, but should take alot of precautions to the reality of online gaming especially in terms of what these kids are being exposed to, weither it is racism, weither it is griefing, weither it is scamming, not everybody online is your friend, and unfortunately that is the sad reality that people do get exposed to on a daily basis, which is why ERSB cant rate anything online because they cant control the actions of others :p

I have had to have this conversation with my youngest. He hasn't played GTA for a while because he and all his little online pals now play Rocket League. I don't know much about this game, but I do know that a lot of it involves trading components and power-ups etc

He came down in tears the other week because he had supposedly "leant" some kid online, who he didn't know but who purported to be his friend, some power-ups or something (I don't really know I have to be honest) on the understanding that it was just to try them out. What happened next? Yup, you guessed it, this "friend" refused to give them back, logged off and refused to answer messages.

It was a valuable lesson in trusting nobody online.

I guess that's why GTA doesn't have any kind of inter-trading features between players, the potential for abuse given the game's general player demographic is huge.

First off, can't watch the video.

Second of all, change sessions and move on.

Why should anyone be forced to move? My friends were in the room so that means we would all have to move. If your on a train or something and people start acting dicks they get thrown off the train or a slap. You don't change trains do ya. And kids shouldn't be playing the game in the first place. :pirate:

Life is not fair. If you don't like the session then change it. By staying you are actively allowing them to continue.

Seriously, it takes a bigger man to change session than to stay. It's actually weakness that stops people leaving.

Non knocking you - just telling you.

If you couldn't be bottered with getting in a fight, why even stay? If they kill you more than once, it's your fault. I agree it's bullsh*t to have to switch sessions because you can't do your thing without kids annoying, but why even give them the satisfaction?

Best thing you can do is either ruin their fun by leaving as soon as they get close, or annoy them and leave.

Hey OP, what game are you playing if you can't go off radar or teleport to heist apartment in passive? I call bullsh*t. You should be ashamed for showing the world your inability as a high level to get away from little troll kids.

2-3 guys being dicks, hardly anything to stress about, in particular in a game like Gta online which promote troll and chaos, I mean no filter at all in freeroam, you can't have any setting allowing more strict rules or disabling certain features if you want to enjoy certain aspect of the game without some others.

You could have tried to join some mission and leave, to teleport you in another place (they probably would have asked you for money after that...)

You are missing the entire point of the post mate. There is a bigger picture.

I didn't give them what they wanted because i was in passive. They desperately wanted me to leave passive. What i was doing was annoying them.

Yup, you can buy new ammo on the go via the inventory. Yup, reported.

Not weakness when you are humouring them and using them for a purpose. Changing session makes you weak as you are giving in to them. I didn't allow them to continue as i was passive and they hated it. By keeping them following me about i stopped them from doing it to somebody else. I can handle it, others may not be able to.

As others have said, I just change sessions, Invite friends to new session and pick up where I left off.

I've had the 'passive stalker' thing happen to me too. Once, I called the mechanic and got him to deliver my most expensive cars one after another. After the fourth car was blown up I think the other player got wise to my scheme to drain their account/send them to bad sport and logged off.

Another time I went passive and started pelvic thrusting behind the guy trying to harass me. He clearly must have felt a little insecure about it (or had to take a cold shower... hey I'm not judging) and also left after not very long :D

Generally though, if someone spoils your fun, just go somewhere else. Takes 30 seconds and within five minutes you'll likely have forgotten about them as you carry on playing the game your way :)

What get's me is you can't swear in a text on GTA. They made it like that for a reason. Yet look at what GTA is about lol. Its full of swearing and cannibalism, murder, drug dealing and all kinds of dark sh*t. They make the game an 18 adult game. Yet GTA Online is clearly catered towards children. Rockstar need to keep people playing thier games and they know that kids are the ones with the most free time to game. All it will take is one single person to record sessions, recaord all the squeakers, ask their ages etc. Before you know it they will have a ton of evidence that GTA Online is full of kids to take to the media to cause Rockstar huge problems. There are even parents admitting they allow their kids to play it.

Already answered this loads of times. My group were not willing to battle as they were busy learning the new gunrunning dlc. They are female and don't get into battles as they find them immature. They like to experiment, have fun and be nice. And why should anyone be forced to leave a session by a group of people who shouldn't even be there in the first place?

Now you see this one time 4 kids decided to blow up one of my import/export cars i was stealing. They then decided to all come after me.

My response? Equip Minigun. Go to town on those bastards. They ended up retreating and eventually leaving the session when I came after THEM. Bonus points: I didn't die once and this was before Gunrunning

Now since i have the Ballistic Equipment, if some idiot decides its a good idea to come after me, i'll show them the definition of 'More Dakka'. Like yesterday, while showing off the Suit to a friend, a random calls Merryweather Mercs on me. And he's right nearby. He decides to go to Ammu-Nation and get who knows what. My response? Walk all the way to Ammu-Nation (the one nearby the Cheapest Import-Export Garage) and gun the prick down. At least, that was the plan before he tried driving headfirst into me with a Zentorno.

You would never imagine what happened next.

I killed him 3 times before i was suddenly disconnected from the session and was by myself.

But why would r* ban their customers?

They ban people for glitching free money and cheating the game. But they don't ban kids who shouldn't be there as they are spending their pocket money on shartcards. And Rockstar make money just from people playing the game. They know kids are the ones with the most free time to game. So they have aimed GTA Online towards the kids.

You and your friend(s) needed to agree on a single griefer then report for griefing and vote to kick. If you report the. 2x before the kick vote that's at least 9BS pts.

It onky takes 3 votes to kick someone. Once they're gone, work on the next one.

Alternatively, friends only session or change public sessions and have your friend join you.

Get this all the time being lvl 690ish, people testing me or whatever. I usually go passive or try out smarting them, last resort leave. Need to remind myself when someone starts ghost org, go passive immediately. 2 nights ago I had a guy in ghost, explosive heavy rounds, I'm guessing thermal sight as well as quickly as I was being spawn killed. I tried fighting, didn't end well. It is what it is. I'm just not a freemode commando, all about making money.

Was busy in party chat trying to help my friend learn the new Gunrunning update so she can get to grips with it. A team of 3 kids come over and try to kill me. They wanted to test my skills as i'm ranked 370. I couldn't be bothered to get into a war and give them what they want so i go into passive mode thinking they will eventually leave. But they don't! They start following me everywhere texting, putting their fingers in thier ears and doing chicken dances and generally taunting etc. So i see how far they are willing to go while talking to my friend. Everytime i tried to get in any vehicle they would blow it up so i'm stranded and then start taunting with the taunting chicken dances again. The only options i have is to walk or run. So i walk over to my apartment thinking they would leave, but no! Instead they repeatedly buzz my doorbell over and over for about 20 minutes or so. While in my apartment i learn how to mute texts so they can't text me anymore. Then i proceed to make my way to my yacht but they follow me there and destroy every vehicle so i'm unable to get there.

Look at them....Is this what passes as fun for kids these days?

Rockstar really should do more to ban kids and trolls. I can see this behaviour putting people off playing the game entirley.

LMFAO.. That is probably the more hilarious thing i've seen in a while.

Could have always came out of passive and blasted the sh*t out of them.... anytime you felt like it.

Just sayin;

I have been muting freemode for 3-and-a-half years, so I have no idea who or how old random players are.

My best advice is to treat each random player or group at face value and as neutrals, and don't worry about specifics, or age, gender, race, education, etc... and you will be much happier and able to control your situation with a cool head.

Remember that the 'kid' demographic only applies to a group of people of between 8-14/15 years-of-age. That's a very low spread of six or seven years, compared to the 'adult' demographic which spreads from 14/15 to sixty+ years-of-age, a spread of 45+ years.

If you want to talk to someone to find out more, then invite them to a chart party, and leave/remove if you no longer want to talk to them. Otherwise, treat them all on an equal footing to get the upper-hand with a cool and collected head.
