So I wanne ask you guys to send a messege too rockstar and tell them t'is problem. I really hope it wil get fix, thanks to everyone that sends a message!

Mine did the same at the weekend and hasn't reverted back to normal. Apparently it comes and goes, but I seem to be stuck with it.

Rockstar have already been made aware, but we'll have to wait and see if it gets fixed.

I was about to buy one. Is there really a problem? I fly them pretty good in the missions but dont want to buy a broken product if possible.

They did make some physics change to it. It's a little "heavier" now, I think. Before the nerf I had only flown it once outside of its missions, but when I did the missions after the change there was a handling difference. It wasn't too significant, for me at least.

Well it's still a really awsome vehicle but it looks like R* is messing around with it, I think they will fix it ...

Probably getting complaints from players and they are nerfing its glide distance capabilities my guess.

Yeah I think so

Also, it felt like you had to be on the ground a second or 1.5 longer than before to fully recharge the rocket boost

allinclusive

It's epic how they remove the fun from vehicles like the Rocket Voltic and Oppressor but add stuff like explosive bullets for the sniper.

Yeah you're right they're messing up the balance of the game with all that OP stuff

This one matters.

One of the early pilots of the Bell Rocket Belt said, "from the moment you lift off, your main and constant consideration is where you're going to land"

The longer recharge time means that we have to plan on either less forward momentum or more take-off space required to make the next hop.

I don't believe it's been purposely nerfed because people have reported it going back to how it previously was, just from restarting the game. I've tried it lots of times though and it's not happened for me. Inconsistency suggests it's a bug.

However, that doesn't mean that when they do figure out how to do the teenage schoolchild maths behind the basic physics it will go back to what it was. I expect it to become a consistent nerf eventually. That said, they have fixed bike physics issues correctly in the past (eventually). I'm just aware that the Rocket Voltic on consoles only boosted for about 1/3rd of the time it boosted on PC. They made that consistent by dropping the boost time on PC. Sure. That's exactly the outcome we all wanted, you f*cking idiots.

Actually, I'd be happy with a trade-off. If you have missiles it flies like mine currently does. If you don't have missiles then it flies like it's made of air. Just pretend the tiny rockets are weighing the bike down, you know for immersion and depth of reality :p

I think I know what it is as I posted a similar thing regarding the Bati 801 incapable of performing wheelies.

Usually went like this:

Drive bike into bunker -> start resupply run -> bike spawns outside as normal -> bike is unable to perform a wheelie.

Why? Because inside the bunker motorcycles are "stuck" to the ground, unable to shift weight. Therefore starting a resupply will spawn your motorcycle outside with those physics still applied.

This might be the case with the Oppressor being heavier in some instances.

I'm no expert, but it's a bloody good guess.

Could be.

I noticed a difference on the Oppressor missions though. Stock fresh-generated bikes, not PVs and not bunker-stored.

Still fine for me on PC, can still get to the top of Maze Bank w/o any issue. In the MOC mission(s) though, there is a speed limiter in effect - I know for sure that's on the last mission (if you're too far ahead of your team it'll be like catchup is on in races).

Happy Hunter

Would be a very fast nerf if it is one ... I mean, why would they purposely nerf it that quickly, when they haven't had time to get any meaningful feedback on it?

Why nerfing a flying bike and not jets? Freakin R*

Flew fine last night while I was playing. Flew fine this morning when I needed to get back from Sandy Shores to my coke factory.

This isn't the first claim of a nerf, the previous ones were false too.

Ground time hasn't changed for the recharge either, I still just kiss the ground to trigger the recharge.

I hardly believe it was changed for everyone but me.

EDIT: The bike can be heavy or light :O

---

It most certainly was not changed.

Reasons for gliding "nerf" feeling:

A) Start a refill with the bike inside the bunker. It will not be able to wheelie.

B) Touch a surface mid glide to refill boost. No matter what velocity you are traveling in, the moment you touch a surface and hear the engine, a gliding nerf of sorts takes effect and your momentum nerfed untill the next boost (so you can't touch to refill and hope to keep gliding at max speed with a charge for later, you gotta waste it to go really fast).

C) Not implementing the air movements. Keep holding wheelie/stoppie/left/right to tweak the bike around in the air and build, or rather, prevent the depletion of your momentum.

TIP: When possible, rocket boost without the wings and glide for a bit upside down, when you start to descend, extract your wings and notice the altitude and speed increase.

This is becoming an everyday trend here, people claiming the Oppressor was tweaked or nerfed. I have used it every day since it came out and nothing has changed. I don't know what you're all on about. If it's "flying bad" that would be user error.

People have reported their Oppressor becoming heavier and slower, where other people have reported the exact opposite. Then there are people, like yourself, who are saying they've not experienced any change, so maybe yours has always been bugged or has never been bugged.

There are people that know a lot more about the workings of the vehicle physics than you and I put together, looking into this and trying to make sense of it. The people calling it a nerf are simply wrong, but it may become a nerf as a way of "fixing" the bug.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I just know I can't do this any more...

There's no way on earth I could do the 2nd 180, never mind then turn round and glide up and onto something. I'm losing too much speed and height now.

And you're sure the issue isn't at your end (like a faulty controller, as an example)?

I too, have been riding this bike since I had the missiles available (quite early) and it's still my daily driver as of now, and I haven't noticed any change. On PC at least, the above manoeuvre is still possible (for me at least).

Unless they've put some physics into a script that they can change, I was sure that any changes would involve the handling.meta file, and if that's getting changed, it would require a download.

If it was just me I wouldn't have even mentioned it. I don't get why people are so against the fact that there's a bug in this game. I don't think it's the first :p

Yeah but surely you realise, if it's a bug in the game, every single person would at some point experience it? Again, there hasn't been a change to the handling.meta file.

I simply cannot replicate your issue, so to me it's not a game or vehicle bug.

No - that's not true. Inconsistency is the biggest bug in this game and always has been. For example, the background colours of on-screen notifications. There's no apparent rhyme or reason behind it, and it's different for every player.

The fact that this is happening for one group of people and not another makes it difficult for them to track it down but it doesn't even vaguely suggest it isn't a bug.

Plus the (not disputed afaik?) wheelie bug seems to confirm there's something hicky with the vehicle.
