From what I've heard the game's taking place in California, so maybe it's there.  I just know that there is a San Andreas Fault...so I dunno either

Nobody besides R* know if the game is going to be called S.A. but the rumors are it is going to be called S.A. and its going to take place in San Francisco, or L.A.

i hope they will make it S.A. because it would make sence.

gta:1(liberty city,san andreas,vice city)

gta:london

gta:2

gta:3(liberty)

gta:vicecity(vice city)

gta:sanandreas(san andreas)

its like gta london and gta2 were just to separate the helicopter view and then the 3d view. if you know what i mean.

and then:

gta:4

gta:5

if that would work i just hope they never stop making gta games cause there the best "anything you want to do" game. :rampage:

San Andreas is supposed to be in California.  Los angelos, and San Fran.   If you've played Sonic for DC, then you know how hilly it is.

They better have blue police cars too.  ;)

I'm guessing that San Andreas will be a San Francisco/Los Angeles type city.

And I'm 99% sure that San Andreas WILL be the next GTA for several reasons.

1)  The first GTA had the cities Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas was the third.

2)  http://www.gtasanandreas.com/ has been registered by Richard Kruger, a Rockstar affiliate.

3)  I think Rockstar has planned to remake all 3 of the GTA 1 cities using the renderware engine and similar gameplay.  So San Andreas wold be the third and final game in the GTA 3 series.  Then they'll move on to new things with GTA 4.

Well, none of what I said is confirmed (except point 2), but it's a logical assumption that I'll stick with 'til proven wrong.  :p

Yeah it was the second city but Liberty City and Vice City have been covered so it doesn't matter as San Andreas is the only one left.

This should get locked because there are already a million topics floating around about the next GTA game.

Uh, yes it most certainly is.  Don't believe me?  Then go to the following link and scroll down to where it says Unavailable and select "Veiw Whois" for www.gtasanandreas.com (thiis can not be directly linked, you have to follow the above instructions)

http://www.register.com/whois.c....eas.com

And why did you quote me twice instead of just editing your first post?

San Adrederas, the fault line that runs through SOUTHERN California has pumped out quakes a big as 7.0! In 1993 was the Northridge earthquake, it was cool.

SOUTHERN califonia. LA!! NOT san fransico.

Get it?

Got it?

Er, the San Andreas faultline runs RIGHT THROUGH San francisco and east of LA, which is why many have thought LA will one day break off into the ocean.  Not only that, San Francisco is right by the ocean just the way Rockstar seems to like it for the sake of islands water borders in the games.  Why couldn't it be a San Francisco/Los Angeles mix like Liberty was a New York/Chicago mix anyways?

Get it?  Got it?  Meh, don't give a f*ck anyhow...

Anyone here played Duke Nukem 3D before?

Well they had the San Andreas fault in that game and it was in a level that loooked like LA (i think it was supposed to be LA)

So the next GTA may be set in LA.

That would be cool

It wasn't in L.A., it was IN the San Andreas faultline. It was pretty damn cool to see an earthquake! I'm pretty sure D3D was the 2nd game to ever include an in-game earthquake. The first was Duke 2.

Yeah... I'll bet you 10 bucks that the differen't parts of the city will be devided with big holes in the ground as the result of an earthquake, if you know what I mean. Like the Callahan Bridge in LC.  ;)
