"This game is not ready to be played in offline mode"...

Hey all,

I'm trying to load up my game to see if I can still play with mods in spite of the current situation....I have the game on Steam and of course it's automatically started downloading the update. It currently shows as "update paused", and I've tried putting everything into offline mode, and even installed GTAVLauncherBypass, but I'm still getting the message "Steam Error - This game is not ready to be played in offline mode"....

I've changed the launch options to -scOfflineOnly but still no joy.

Can anyone help me out with how to get my game started offline or give me a way to halt this update download/install before it gets any futher?

oK First of all If you want to get your gta 5 to work with the mods you need two things :

 

 

1. [ 1.0.1032.1 ] compatible update.rpf

2. GTAV.exe [ 1.0.1032.1 ]

If You have both of the above copy and paste it in your directory .

Then use GTAV NO LAUNCHER mod to launch the game and it will work .

 

 

--scOfflineOnly wont work forever btw its only for a day or two after that u need to sign in again

If the update is still paused, copy GTA5.exe, GTAVLauncher.exe, and update\update.rpf to another folder somewhere OUTSIDE the GTA V folder. Then, let Steam go ahead and update the game. Once it's done, go into Steam and change the game's properties so it won't download FUTURE updates unless you launch the game with Steam. Save the new GTA5.exe, GTAVLauncher.exe, and update.rpf to another folder, then copy BACK the old version of each file. Then run on over to GTAVLauncherBypass: https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/gtavlauncherbypass- download that and put the files in your Grand Theft Auto V folder with GTA5.exe. Create a shortcut to GTA5.exe and use ONLY that shortcut to start the game. No need to run offline mode on anything, just play the game.

You can't use GTA5.exe from retail/warehouse version on Steam, because they are different. Stick to Steam exes.
