Similar to a reflex sight. Basically, no magnification but gives a "red dot" sight.

Pretty useless in GTA even if you play in 1st person and click the stick to zoom in on aiming.

Not really any different to any other sights on the pistol or rifles.

The pistol seems to have nuts range and accuracy with it fitted.

I wouldn't say its useless at all, IF you play in first person anyways. They're much less bulky and take up far less of the screen in first person, so you can see other things going on when using it. If you're strictly a third person player, aesthetic maybe? Lol

I rarely play first person outside of driving and when I do I tend to prefer the iron sights anyway so it's pretty worthless imo

I've unlocked the tech, but I cannot equip my MK2 Combat MG with this...I'm a first person shooter with Combat MG and Heavy Sniper, I really need to test that holo thing.

Edit: realized I only unlocked the holo sight for Carbine, not yet for CMG.

Not very useful aside from being aesthetically pleasing, unless you play in first person, then it has perks.

Even in first person I'd argue most non-sniper sights are useless for the simple reason that they don't have hitmarkers, nor highlighting for enemies. The dot crosshair turns red when over enemies, and provides a hitmarker, which in PvE is pretty much essential as most enemies treat multiple gun shot wounds as a mere inconvenience, and just get right back up and shoot at you if you don't make very sure they're actually dead.

copied from the gr weapons thread:

I detached the scope to have the standart stat bar.

when i hover over the old big scope, and hover over the holo sight, the old big scope raises the range bar more than the holo sight.

even the ingame description says its for close range.

but then the question is: is the holo sight better than he old big scope? which are the advantages?

The advantage of the holographic sight over the other ones is purely for 1st person and cosmetic reasons.

In 1st person the sight is much less obstructive, and it looks cool.

That's it

Yup. I hate how clunky the other scopes in first person are. Holographic sight is a very welcome addition to the game for me.

Does nothing in auto aim but in free aim it helps so much. Got it on my special carbine. My go-to gun if it’s a close range AR fight.
