Wait a few minutes in that lobby (preferably in a apartment, garage or inside any LSC Customs... 4. Manually plug in and connect a LAN Cable (hard wired) to your Xbox (or from Xbox to router). 5. If your one of the lucky ones everyone will lag out the lobby. 6. Stay inside your apartment for a few more minutes until connection is stable. 8. Your in a solo public session now. 9. I blame it on my sh*tty net which seems to help ward off anyone. If I invite a friend in, though, it seems to open the floodgates and people can seep in one at a time or in a bunch. Alone? Free lobby for hours. Full day possible. With a friend? Full 20 in maybe 3 hours, maybe more, maybe less. @OP: Not to be a prick but I already posted this wifi method 4 days ago...It covers the issue of Xbox LIVE kicking you to SP. It's not perfect, I'm still tweaking it but so far, as you seem to imply, it's hit or miss. There's a few things to help you get that solo lobby, issue is instead of taking 2-3 minutes in the past to get an empty lobby (10 second stunt race playlist method), you can take up EASILY 8-10 minutes to do this sh*tty method. Still, your thread seems to get more people so here's hoping people get that knowledge and enjoy GTA again with no griefers! Also hoping we find a better way as wifi method seems to be unreliable since 1.40.
