Hazelnot
Every time I play San Andreas I try to avoid spending time in The Johnson House because of how f*cking creepy it is. It's a fairly large house, it's empty, and it's dark. At first it was the stupid CJ's mom's ghost myth that made me absolutely terrified, but even after I stopped believing those things years ago, it still creeps me out so much. In fact, I'm pretty sure that at this point every safehouse in this game creeps me the f*ck out, why do they all have to be either dark or oddly lit? I'd attatch some pictures but this forum seems to ignore HTML code and I don't know how to resize pictures attatched via the image thing in the toolbar >.> Mulyadi
MISSINGSTRING
There is absolutely no stuff that spawns inside warehouses, game does nothing related to myths, so you are 100% safe there :^) lol Mulyadi
Hazelnot
I know, I'm not worried anything will happen, it's just that dark, empty, quiet places are super creepy. OK I lied I'm slightly worried that some weird glitch would happen and the game would spawn something and I'd freak the f*ck out. HalfOfAKebab
You'll have fun doing weapon runs in there when you get all the gang tags. Running in and out of the house for a few minutes while you get spray can ammo, and then spending more time there running in and out to get the ammo from the kitchen when you get the gang tags. Also, fancy seeing you here lol. Edited June 16, 2017 by HalfOfAKebab

Rhoda
Burglary missions are still tense for me, I never liked the breathing or how interiors looked. It's even worse when they're all sat around and open fire on you, especially when your last two or three houses have been eeriest quiet. But yes, good luck with the tags and going elsewhere for spray paint! vizs, HalfOfAKebab and Mulyadi

Great Britain
I find that random picture of a kitty in the bedroom, giving me that cold stare a more terrifying sight. Also now that you mention it, I always had this thought at the back of my mind that it would be pretty depressing if I get trapped in a place like that house for all eternity. Good times nevertheless!
Rose.Quartz
it's not just how the house is quiet, dark, and empty but the fact that your mother died in there also makes it more creepy especially if you believe in ghosts. but it's a video game so we got nothing to worry about. nothing is going to jump right in front of us and scare us every time we enter the Johnson House. Yes you don't need to worry about it though,as you said its just a game. Edited June 17, 2017 by unknown57
Original Light
One of the less creepy interiors, in my opinion, is the hotel room safehouse interior in Las Venturas (along with a few others in that area). I definitely can agree with the Johnson House being creepy, but I never really thought about it until now. Exactly, the fact that I know something terrible happened there, coupled with the impact the myths had on me when I was a kid, make it even scarier. ChengizVlad09
I always liked how dark games in 3D universe were - visually I mean - especially on PlayStation 2, even Vice City with its beautiful colors and its overall colorfulness tends to sent out some dark and mysitique visual vibe. I kinda feel sad they left out so many awesome interiors from the SA, at least half of them could end up being in the final version, real shame. t3h PeNgU1N oF d00m
I used to be creeped out by it when I was younger. I remember watching one of those San Andreas myth videos on Youtube (cue X-Files theme) about CJ's mom's ghost, with a picture of the old lady pedestrian but all black standing in the living room as "evidence." San Andreas itself is creepy at night. I think it's mostly due to some weird lighting effects. Buildings seem to glow at night, and the streets and woods are so dark and desolate. It's no wonder San Andreas spawned so many myths back in the day. Payne Killer and The Time Ranger

Kinda off topic but this was on purpose I suspect; the timecyc is set like this and it's easy to edit it to get a more "realistic" and colorful look... but this is likely common knowledge in the modding community. Anyway, yeah, I always felt CJ's house was creepy. I'm not sure about anyone else but I thought the entire game looked creepy, if not very very depressing. Los Santos especially seems rather hopeless...

lil weasel
Nothing "creepy" about it. I remember a hotel I worked at, there were some 20 rooms where people had died. The RC staff refused to work in the ones they knew about, or Crossed themselves when entering. Had no problems with ones they did not know of. Superstition playing in a game, that is spooky. vMinty
I can relate to this on so many levels :x Running into icon, saving, and making sure to get the f out as fast as possible. Yep, the only purpose.
GeorgeCostanzaTheMovie
I think it's the fact that this game, and this series for the most part, is dead silent, especially interiors. It wasn't until GTA V we had background music, even then it's only for wanted levels and missions. In GTA SA, the only sounds you could hear outside were pedestrians and vehicles. In empty interiors like the Johnson house and even in the woods, the only audio is your own footsteps, un-intentionally creating and atmosphere so tense you could cut it with a knife. I think that alone causes imaginations to go wild, and could be a factor that created these myths. Idk, just food for thought. Helegad
I'm quite certain there is background audio inside SA interiors, it's like a low hum/hiss. Nothing special though, I suppose it just adds to the atmosphere. It's quite easy to tell dead silence from pretend silence. Jabalous
