... unless you have no problem with getting your product destroyed almost everytime you're doing a sale. At this point, it's well known that gta online has become much more unbalanced than it was before the Gunrunning update. A sniper, a damn sniper is now more dangerous than a military fighter jet because now it can be equipped with explosive ammo. With it's explosive ammo along with a very long range and good accuracy, it's a deadly weapon and the new grefing toy for griefers.

 

With all the new powerful weapons, vehicles and stuff, now it's harder than ever to run your business in free roam. You are extremely vulnerable when selling in a defenseless van/heli/plane/boat. During Thursday only, my sales got blown up several times by APC's and other weapons and I only managed to succeed with like one of them. If selling in a solo session was possible, I wouldn't have a problem at all with this new update because I could be in a solo session whenever I want to work and switch to public session whenever I feel like playing around and having fun in the chaos. It's sad because now you can't even make money without assholes ruining it for you, so for me this is my absolute biggest problem with this update. If this crappy and unbalanced update would be compensated with making it possible to run your business in private sessions then it would actually be much less of a problem. It would even be acceptable to be honest.

 

So that is why last time I played was about 7 hours ago when my last sale got blown up and I finally had enough, so I turned off the console and I'm done with this game now. I won't go back to gta online unless it becomes possible to run businesses in private sessions or if I find a reliable way to join a public session alone (in Xbox One).

 

How has this update along with the solo public session playlist method being patched affected your possibility to run your business/organization? Are you going to keep playing gta online after all the negative things that came with this update? Discuss!

But it was still possible, it never went away, all you have to do if you are on a console is set your MTU setting to 700, and no more populate lobbies, and you can do your business in peace, there is a even a thread(s) on it.

Haha, it's pretty obvious man. It's to increase shark card sales, that is why they encourage other players to destroy your product so that you get mad and possibly to get you to buy a shark card to compensate for the money loss. There you go, that is Cockstar for ya

All my friends cribs are in the city be fore update. I was in the mountains .. Blain county was peaceful .. While the city was a mad house. Now blain county is ww10 . lol packing up my things boys. Lol

Haha actually, you're damn right. I realized when I played that a lot of players stay in Blaine County now compared to before when most players were in the city. Paleto Bay was one of the safest places on the map before the update, now it's not so safe anymore. The city is maybe safer than Blaine County now... crazy.

PS4 Even with MTU at 700 I was still getting populated lobbies.

Dropping further to 600-650 soloed me.

Looks like the date change method was fixed though.

 

As for the Xbox users couldn't you change the MTU settings on the router to get the same effect?

Just don't forget to up it after playing if you don't want download's or streams to crawl.

If it helps; people who use a wireless connection like myself, believe it or not, loading a full 30 page from the Show Your Characters thread improves the chances of getting a solo public session. Probably the amount of images + what ever the game has to load just loses it. Takes me 2 - 3 attempts.

 

I usually do that to get a solo session knowing friends will join, but most of the time it's just MTU 700 and I'll be on my way

Yes, I've spent a TON of hours on this game. I've played, at least for a little while, seven days a week since launch on Xbox 360. I've steadily built up my businesses and my assets, reached level 690, and put millions in the bank, but this last update and especially the new difficulty of getting into a solo session to sell product has made me consider dropping out of GTA altogether.

 

I can't spend my time prepping for a delivery that some sucker punching jackass can blow up on a whim. After a ten to twelve hour workday I just want to relax, I don't want to be frantically defending my shipment or be somebody else's punching bag. GTA Online used to serve that purpose, but it seems now Rockstar only wants people to play it their way, and frankly I don't find their way entertaining.

They are the reason I have to play the same 5-6 R* verified maps all the time. I don't dare set the preference to "ALL MAPS" because like you said it becomes a 999999$ & 99999RP, Ring Fight and Parkour map hell.

I really miss the deathmatch days (still numero uno on PS4 with Pavilion though ). But yeah, with weapons getting stronger and players getting younger, deathmatches have lost their uniqueness. I gave up deathmatches after being reported multiple times for being "good", like dafuq? As I said in another thread, it's why I moved on to photogtaphy, creating and a hardcore VIP worker

Alternative methods:

Have everyone in the home stream video (YouTube/Netflix/etc.) at the same time.

Be a Comcast or AT&T Uverse or Cox customer and just wait a few minutes and it will probably happen on its own.

Play when a popular show is released on streaming and your neighbors will choke the bandwidth. I got solo lobbies almost every time for three days when the last season of GoT dropped.
