My friend was randomly awarded 5.85 million dollars?

We had a guy leave a heist due to a connection error as we were loading back into a solo lobby my friend randomly got a message while in the clouds saying

"congratulations you have been awarded 5.85 million dollars" he even recorded it.

What just happened here lol?

Shouldn't be we've been playing at least 1 time a week for months. Dunno He never bought alot of the rebate vehicles and the few that he did already got reimbursed.

i just got 250k just from now logging back on. I dont know what for...

 

Edit: I think the servers are getting messed up right now for some reason; game's been acting weird ever since the update

Weird stuff is going on, I had for about 10 minutes the SP bars under the mini map, ( health/armor/stealth)
