Only complaint I have is no option for primary color on the fenders. :c

-

Side note only two things are research locked for me (PS4) and those are the last Armor upgrade (Window cutouts with plates on both front and back on the gunner. I personally do not like them, because you can't use weapons while in the cab) and a gunner upgrade to a minigun. You can also store it in any garage and is no different than any other PV, with exception that it can only be modified in your MOC . Cost 20K to replace and can take around 10 explosives( sometimes more).

What's the Secondary and Pearl on this? It looks excellent

Thx, Color is Crew Primary- #161312(AA) with Rolled Steel pearl and Metal- Brushed Black Steel secondary. C:

I get the feeling the answer is yes, but it'd be nice to know beforehand. Can the custom still seat 9 people?

Unless you glitched it from a supply mission, in which case it only seats 7.

Why, does it keep the box in the back? Why would it seat less if you glitch it?

Personally, when this drops, I'm getting rid of my other one.

I gotta be honest Ive had my Insurgent since Heists released...but with so little room in my garage I may have to trade it in...

If the back doors opened and had some kind of function I wouldnt but the pickup truck version is so much cooler.

Im holding out hopes for the 2 warstock vehicles and the Insurgent and Technical to have some research attached to them as well...

I dont know if theres any way to tell or not...but I think itd be cool to change the weapons.

Both have research, and the weapons are some of it. You can change the Technical Customs gun to the same as the upgradable minigun you get on the Dune FAV, and the Insurgent gets a GAU Tri-Barrel looking upgrade. There's also some armour to be researched for both.

My friend glitched one and i did a rpg test on his custom pickup while he was sitting inside and it only survives 4 RPGs before the 5th one destroys it while the regular Pegasus one survives 8 RPGs before the 9th one destroys it. There's also no option in the moc to add armour 100% upgrade sadly so it looks like I won't be buying this. Plus the window armour is purely cosmetic (excluding gunner armour.) I wouldn't recommend it but that's just my opinion.

I don't know what kind of steroids Pegasus has been feeding your cars, but my pick-up certainly needs them

The insurgent pickup only survives 3 RPGs with no one in it. When there's a occupant inside it survives 8 RPGs.

I think it can if you remove all the armor, but once you've put any on it restricts you to only guns.

The highest level of armor doesn't even allow guns.

We should be able to, I remember seeing a picture somewhere of someone having it during a heist.

I was still getting shot at even though it had the highest level armor. Hopefully that's a glitch cause if it isn't then it seems like a waste a money to have that upgrade.

A good idea is to NOT have the highest available armor on the insurgent pickup custom unless you are a damn good driver. No defense is the worst offense in my opinion, it sucks driving into a turkey shoot. LOL. Level 5 armor = closed casket.

Questions for anyone who already has the insurgent pickup custom:

Does it have the same explosive resistance as the normal insurgent pickup when occupied*? 9 RPG's/high explosives to blow up.

*Does the minigun have the same performance as the one on the turreted limo? It has a different design so I was curious if anyone did side by side tests.

*If you go with the heavy armor plating option, does the gunner back shield not break off like the hatch does all the time on the normal insurgent pickup?

*I know the armor plating doesn't add any extra protection, but does it make the vehicle heavier and better at ramming other vehicles/vehicle barricades?

Thanks to anyone who can answer!

the regular insurgent pickup survives 8 RPGs with occupant/s inside, this one survives only 4 RPGs with occupant/s inside. The minigun upgrade it gets is a 3 barrel as compared to the turreted limo 6 barrel mini gun so I doubt it's as good as the mini gun from that limo. The gunner shield doesn't break or fall off at all and interestingly enough it's the only plating that actually protects you from gunfire (window plating does nothing besides adding bullet resistant windows like the Schafter v12 has. The visual armour plating is just for looks. The light and medium armour plating limits your weapons to only shooting style weapons and the heavy armour doesn't allow you to use any weapons when inside.) the insurgent rams just as good as any from my friend's test so I don't think any weight is added but I do notice that when you have armour plating installed that the insurgent wobbles when the gunner turns the turret and becomes slightly unstable, mostly at higher speeds. The bonus is that it can tow the new AA trailer, be stored in garage, be customized (duh) and it gets delivered like a regular vehicle. It can only be repaired at your property, bunker or the moc and it can only be customized at the moc. Edited by Duckdude001

Mingun on the Turreted Limo uses a 7.62x5.56mm round apparently, while the triple barrel minigun option on the Pick-Up custom is a .50 Cal according to its name.

Damn, guess I won't be able to finally retire my regular insurgent then. Thanks for the info!

Is there anything that needs to be researched other than the window plating and the minigun? How much do the turret armor plateing options cost?

Also, fun fact: it's the PV with the highest capacity ever (9), followed by the Granger (8).

Even without adding any armour plating on it, it has armoured windows like the baller SUVs I think which is kinda cool but not that useful imo. Also, armour plating isn't really necessary because even without it the gunner is highly protected from the front and rear from gunfire, especially when you hold x to duck down. Overall 9.9/10 due to it having less armour against explosives than the regular one we got right now.
