You should later 'leak' all OpenIV files with another name, like "OpenRAGE" or "f*ckYouT2" or something.

This happened because of the recent situation with cheaters.

Cheaters found a way to mess with script events.

They implemented heavy checks with the recent update, it did stop them but cheaters might find a bypass soon.

The only way to fix this is to use dedicated servers because it's peer to peer issue and of course that won't happen.

To fix this, they had to stop the main modding tool.

GTA V's main cheater issue is due to memory hacking and not file modding. OpenIV is a file modder.

 

 

Didn't stop Take Two. But sending C&D to any trainer or memory editor is just too much.

GTA V and other R* games will die naturally without proper modding - have no worries about that.

I think it could very well be a fake letter someone sent to them. A real letter wouldn't have any grammar issues like that. Of course, I'm not saying there's no chance it's actually real. I just think that the OpenIV creators should verify with Take Two whether it's real or not.

Like some of us said before, it is solely Take-Two decision. Most of this C&D things are coming from the publisher, despite the developer itself encourages it.
