Nice one, Take-Two. You're this community's inspiration, even though you quite litereally just f*cked with every possible way to mod a RAGE GTA.

Lol, a letter send by post equals 0. They didn't received it hand-given from T2 lawyers, so yeah.

No it's legit. They just have to make sure the letter reaches your jurisdiction. And your personal letterbox falls into that category.

This kind of "cease and desist" sh*t started when GTA Online for PC was released. They know it was f*cking flawed and going to be milked to death so they started C&D all the mods that actually could become the threat of Online. But this? A tool that can be use for enhancing the game experience by only exploiting the single player mode through modding? I don't know what kind of greed-making scheme T2 have in their sleeve.

I really hope they don't take down GTA5-Mods as well for their sh*tty online shenanigans. I remember and miss the days when they actually praised modding. I know for a fact Rockstar Games didn't make this decision.

This happened because of the recent situation with cheaters.

Cheaters found a way to mess with script events.

They implemented heavy checks with the recent update, it did stop them but cheaters might find a bypass soon.

The only way to fix this is to use dedicated servers because it's peer to peer issue and of course that won't happen.

To fix this, they had to stop the main modding tool.

GTA V's main cheater issue is due to memory hacking and not file modding. OpenIV is a file modder.

Utter bollocks if this is the real reason. Scripts were nothing to do with openIV. File checks have always been in place so file modding has always been out of the question.
