@Claube_Lib

Prepare your 3700p.

Actually, no. The Megalodon Shark Card costs 2799 rubles here ($47), but now it's 1679.40 ($28) during the sale. I'm torn. On one hand, Strauss doesn't deserve a single kopek from my pocket. On the other hand, I promised and now I have to keep my word.

Ok so even though I understand the case and know what the latest news is I want to ask something:

I saw ScriptHoov and OpenIV were updated, my only question is IS IT SAFE TO UPDATE GTA5 ? Meaning that I obviously want to mod the thing again.

I'd be heartbroken if I updated but couldn't ever mod my game back.

There are ways to downgrade it. I never upgraded but ask someone before you do it. Or make a backup copy.

It's safe to update it. I have done it yesterday and my game is working fine.

Replying to both of your quotes. It is safe to update to the latest patch for GTAV on PC if you wish. I have installed ScripthookV Version v1.0.1103.2 on the Gunrunning patch for GTAV and have encounter no issues or bugs so far with either ScripthookV or any of my scripts I have installed into the GTAV Directory on my PC.

As others have said, if you aren't pleased with the latest update then there are ways to rollback to an older version of the game.

Guys, Take Two has rescinded their C&D order, and OpenIV is back in business!

I would say thank you, we know.

We still waiting for the official statement from Mr. Krivoruchko, though.

Holy cat piss! You guys actually did it! Congratulations, guys! :D

Dude, this happened yesterday, you seemed to miss the point completely and now that someone reposts the article you're saying congrats? You were still complaining when we already knew Rockstar was in talks with GooD and that OpenIV updated to remove the C&D notice. ;)

Chill out there. I meant to edit that post but I just saw the GAF thread and came straight here. But it seems its more or less the same statement from yesterday. So basically they want to pretend they care about the community for now but its still within their right to shut down any other mod tools in the future.

But Im glad OpenIV is...kinda alright?

You let off that steam real hard there, Spider. lol

By the way, Rockstar's statement states they will take legal action against tools that impact multiplayer. Since OpenIV has been updated and LIKELY (until Good-NTS confirms all is safe and sound) free of the C&D, does this mean T2/R have finally understood OpenIV was not used to cheat online, or at least was not the intent of the team?

@Stellasin @Reyser @B7R

Thanks!

@DeeDog

While OpenIV is "alright", Rockstar says they do not "support" or at least "forbid" the user to import into the game of mods that violate intellectual property. (I've explained this on the previous page if you want). So maybe 90% of the mods are still "illegal", and the other 10% that is fully free of rights and user-created is alright.

As others have mentionned, no one is going to go after a random guy who converted a random Mercedes, but they may ask websites to delete the files, or could go after the bigger modding teams like they did with OpenIV and the .White team (who developped the RDR map conversion).

I hope that from here to future do not arise more problems with the companies or in this case T2 and respect us, they did not respect, well they will have to swallow the consequences.

I think at this point it's safe to say that we can go back to what we where doing before with single player mods I know we are still waiting on Good-NtS and his statement but I definitely think it's safe to say that we won and that our voices were heard. After uploading my video onto YouTube last night I immediately went to reinstalling GTA V and bringing back the Millennium Falcon (The garbage will do) and I am having a blast finally going back to what makes GTA so enjoyable for me. Sad to say that the LC conversion mod won't be happening I wish it weren't so but that's what's going on I guess I didn't think it could hurt anyone but I guess I was wrong but as I said I was willing to give that up to go back to adding crazy s*** to the game again. With that I must add RIP LC:V but welcome back OpenIV
