Yeah but it's a online installer though. if they're going to remove completely, it won't work anymore.

It would be great if you can share it via PM or so.. I reinstall Windows frequently because Windows 10 Update keeps trashing my drivers.

It's legal to mod a game after you've bought it.

It's a shame that some people are so easily fooled and bend over though. You can tell T2 to f*ck off and they wouldn't do anything. Their claims have no real legal basis and they know it.

It would be a shame if a bunch of different mirrors appeared all over the interwebz for downloading OpenIV. Surely not even Take-Two could put a stop to that.

This is sad, that is if the letter is legit, considering the piss-poor wording.

 

I started out many years ago with modding and see it as a vital lifeline in the development of a game, to cut this one off just seems like a really bad business decision.

 

I've already gone off GTA and have been for over a year now, since Online basically killed any enjoyment I had or potential for worthy expansions/DLC, so I've not used this tool, but I fully appreciate the work that has gone into it and the work that it's helped produce.

 

What this does prove to me at least is how little appreciation that publishers have for the PC gaming market, which is truly saddening.

 

PS I look forward to the release of Open4 or OpenIVY, since it's only OpenIV that's been C&D'd ;)

GooD, you should take them to court. This is a big news story and you'll surely get thousands in donations to help.

No he shouldn't. Courts are most likely to rule in favor of the multi-million dollar company than the one independent tool developer.
