I found this decision ridiculous both from Rockstar and from T2. Even because GTA is a game that has been modified for years and years, a great and strong example for this is the GTA San Andres, which has been modified for a long time and in my point of view this increases the life of the game , Many used modifications to play in campaign mode (have fun, pass the time).

And also that these modifications did not interfere in the online mode, a big lie. Whoever uses OpenIV knows this, which is not possible.

Sincerely sad is such news, now is to sign a bass signed and see what the self-proclaimed Rockstar and T2 will pronounce on the case.

Just gonna drop this here. How I downgraded my GTA Steam version to the previous version without having to resort to turning off internet or cracking files. Also the fun bit about turning off the uninstall message in the OpenIV.exe file

Can confirm this works (although while using the separate shortcut, the SC sign in window *always* popped up - for some reason, launching through Steam worked.......SC sign in popped up, but was able to enter my info and continue on to SP as normal)

It converts .asi's to 'rasi''s, if it cannot it'll attempt to patch 'SHV' to then load it, if that fails it'll then try loading the asi.

For me. I tossed in the launcher bypass mod, created the separate shortcut, tried it a few times and yeah, the SC sign in window popped up. Don't know why the Steam launcher still worked.......but hey, thanks for sharing the knowledge even still!!

So, forgive me for asking as I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to this stuff, but will this make the game work with the most recent version, but a dated version of SHV?

Well,all these fancy Texture Replacements,cool new Avatars everyone now has and all the downrating and cursing / shaking the Fist against T2 was fun for the last couple of Days but I hope it would become a bit more productive.

Since Alex Blade is laying low for a while until the Heat cools off I fear that we might have lost the Battle or loosing it.I don't think T2 will ever step back from their recent Actions against Singleplayer Modding because they would have to admit that they were wrong...and a large Company admitting they were wrong never happens.

We have so many talented People in our Community that I believe we could take Action and start over again.Of course we could play our old GTA Version from the Time when everything was still Cupcakes and Unicornfarts but I believe many just jumped the Shark (no pun intended) and updated their Game.

So,anyone working on something to get this Trainwreck back on Track again?
