this is something i'm wondering since i made the trailer mission yesterday. for those who made it already, the trailer is deadly. and will make a PvP griefer think twice before trying anything. same with APC. the APC is very powerful too, with it's kinda uranium depleted shells. i also heard that the heavy sniper with explosive rounds is a nasty weapon too. what do you think. do you think the update with make anyone flee the PvP lobbies, to avoid armaggedon. or do you think griefing will be much less important than it was. and thus, this will give PvP a second breathing. personnally i think that it will hurt PvP, because (i could be wrong) cargoes can be destroyed faster.

please keep it mature ty

I think it'll change PvP. We had a guy try to take on our moc last night by himself in an apc, was like bringing a marshmallow to a gun fight. Now if he'd had a partner it may have ended different for him. Instead of single griefers in a jet, we'll have teams I think. PvP gun fights may happen still for a bit, but will be unbalanced for most. I was wondering if it'll bring a bit of peace to lobbies, but that's a pipe dream.

All of these new vehicles require two people to use it properly, none of them are heavily armoured either and shooting people out of the apc isn't much of a problem if you're good.

The explosive rounds are annoying but not OP, the blast radius seems incredibly tiny and you only get 36 shots before you have to resupply from your MOC.

Yes it'll all be extremely annoying the first few weeks as everyone rushes to use the explosive rounds and such, but then it'll die off as people realize it's not really worth it and that the vehicles are countered easily.

Thermal scope however, lmao it let's you see people through entire apartment buildings from like 200m away. If anything the thermal scope is going to be the biggest pvp changer.

I don't think the poll is well worded. It will change player v player unquestionably. For the worse imo, specifically due to explosive rounds.

I think it's a double edged sword yes it might make a jet griefer reconsider but some of the stuff they added to solve an overpowered problem will obviously become an overpowered problem itself.

I said a few weeks back adding a railgun might be a sign that they're getting ready to go more hands off with the game and make free roam as much of a chaos ridden money sink as possible to keep shark card profit rolling without much support going forward. Looks like I might get to test out that theory with the release of that explosive sniper.

To be honest I'm ready to go back to a more grounded experience with RDRO and eventually hopefully GTAO2 before they start adding ridiculous sh*t to that game too after it's 1st or 2nd year.

I get that the longer they support a game the more amount of ridiculous sh*t you have to keep adding to maintain the shock value. But if the ruiner 2k wasn't already an indicator, that new bike that legitimately looks like a glitch the way it functions is a clear milestone that the game has jumped the shark.

This is why knowing when to bow out gracefully is better than supporting the game until GTAVI. All that additional profit might not be worth it if people are burnt out from the GTAO formula by the time the next game comes out.

Gunrunning won't kill PVP.

PVP was killed long before by suicide pussies, fast rocket spammers, jets, BST, ghost org, teleporters, passive abuse...

PvP in this game is pretty gash to begin with tbh with the whole p2p networking setup the game is based on.

Griefers usually work alone.. they don't socialize too well.. as you can imagine.

I haven't really had any trouble in PvP's yet. Not more so then usual anyways. Gunrunning is definitely inadvertently promoting PvP though due to the patches made on solo public lobbies. GTAO is capatalism at its finest, if someone in the lobby starts giving your trouble the only thing holding you back is your wallet (in-game). And if you really don't appreciate the grief then find a new session. Similar to how businesses and industrys react to changes in the marketplace. Someone greifing you with a hydra? Then buy one so you can greif back. Don't want a hydra? Get explosive rounds for your sniper. Don't want anyone griefing you? Then either toughen up or don't play GTAO. GTA was born out of an idea if chaos, every year we see that chaos evolve in new and interesting ways.

I haven't seen a jet since the update. It's great. Having ground vehicular combat is so much more fun than having to get a jet to kill a jet without Fully Loaded.

Meh, it made things slightly worse in general it seems, but most of the vehicles added are nothing a single person can not handle, except for the apc.

that being said, i only went against that new bike and the tampa and buggy on the ground, did not come across the other things yet, except the apc, which pretty much wrecked me.(for 5 times, after that i was kicked out of the session because i destroyed a lot of other new vehicles with my jet)

How does one kill PvP? The only way to do that is to change the game so that players cannot be responsible for eachothers death anymore. And that hasn't happened. There's more weapons to kill eachother with and people aren't going to be doing it any less so how could this possibly "kill" PvP?

If you mean something else, like a certain rule set that you want players to live by in PvP, you're out of luck. And always have been because this game has never imposed limits on players when it comes to using weapons, tactics and tools like muggers, suicide and whatnot. They just kicked it up a notch and soon it's going to be more explosions than bullets. Not using passive mode is basically going to be an open invitation to have people shoot tons of grenades and rockets at you.

Things will get worse in my opinion, much more worse than before. I call it CoD/Battlefield for the ultra-noobs dressed in expensive Hipster glitter crap.

We just got attacked by some bigmouthed peeps, chasing them into pu$$ymode one after another, getting the regular modder bullcrap ingame harrassement for not acting like they want us to play.

It still hurts me to see how R* seems to lay back on a, sort of, masterpiece and milk it so damn dry. :(

Freemode is going to get even worse.

Bad like Michael Jackson.
