AA Trailer

I did the mission with the anti aircraft trailer and we use the ones with the missiles.

I noticed that the missiles would do anything to hit their target, including some insane maneuvers.

So did they change how lock on missiles work? Does the trailer's missiles become a guaranteed hit? Or is it just a mission specific thing?

Fully loaded missiles would do impossible maneuvers. They could be the same ones and are probably specific to that mission. But this is r* so...

It's only for that mission.

In free roam, they are severely de-powered.

Do they still lock-on in free mode? I know the APC SAMs don't

They do but you need to unlock this upgrade via research.

Hint: you can lift AA trailer with a Bob anywhere.

kinda wanted this to stay for jet griefers and bring the concerns back on the ground, but I heard explosive rounds for the heavy sniper works for jet griefers so i will check that out, but on the side note if you ever been in a car chase with a friend on the truck and AA trailer you can really have some fun and ruin lives with it.

Not from my experience on PC, in freeroam, dealing with the police.

I've had missiles go underneath or to the side of police helis, do a complete U-turn and successfully hit the target. In fact, I have yet to MISS a single shot when taking out aerial targets.

Try that with player controlled jets and hydras and your opinion will soon change

Although they actually work as intended against helicopters pilots (be npc or player) damn, this thing is overpowered against then

The inability to customize the attached "default" Sadler absolutely ruins it for me. I'm worried that when the Nightshark is inevitably released we will not be able to tow the AA Trailer behind it like we can during the Bunker mission which unlocks the trailer itself as both the Nightshark and AA Trailer count as personal vehicles. Hopefully this is simply an oversight R* will correct in the future by adding a "Default Towing Vehicle" option to the Trailer customization menu/shop in the bunker.

All I know is, the dual 20mm Bofors autocannon are devastating. Makes the thing 100% worth it.

Still not against aircraft. Sure you can get a lot of police choppers with it or do mission like Rooftop Rumble but that's about it. It's funny how R* released a lot of anti-air stuff and the only thing that can really be used against jets is explosive sniper rounds.

I don't see any reason why the Nightshark would not be able to tow the AA trailer when it's realesed. I like the idea of adding a towing option to some vehicles though.

You can also put it behind the Insurgent custom and Technical custom.

Perhaps when the Nightshark, and the custom variants of the Technical and Insurgent get released we'll get an option to choose what vehicle we want to tow the trailer? Though knowing R* they will probably f*ck it up like a lot of things and stuff in this game.

I was suggesting that you might not be able to tow your own personal AA Trailer with your own personal Nightshark. You cannot have 2 personal vehicles out at the same time. You can't even have the MOC and AA Trailer out at the same time. Obviously we will be able to tow a friend's AA trailer behind our personal Nightshark, Insurgent Custom or Technical Custom once they have detached the Sadler but that seems like a significant amount of wasted time and effort to enjoy an unnecessarily complicated and in my opinion poorly executed vehicle.
