MK II weapon upgrades?

"MK II WEAPONS UPGRADES

A huge range of tactical customizations are made possible by MK II upgrades available exclusively from your Mobile Operation Center’s Weapon Workshop. MK II variants of the Pistol, SMG, Heavy Sniper, Combat MG, Assault Rifle and Carbine Rifle deliver a wealth of options including new magazines packing tracer, incendiary, armor piercing, hollow point and other types of rounds. Add Night Vision, Holographic and Thermal Scopes, new grips, suppressors, Muzzle Brakes, Liveries, Tints and much more. "

So I want to know how tf can I upgrade my weapons to MK II, I already have the MOC with the weapon+cars workshop but I till can`t upgrade them, it only allows me to use the old attachments

There's an Upgrade button at the top of the customization menu.

In typical R* fashion, only 6 guns can be upgraded: the Assault Rifle, Carbine Rifle, SMG, Combat MG, Heavy Sniper and Pistol.

You need to setup your business via the Disruption Logistics laptop in your bunker, assign your staff and, well, research the upgrades. They also need supplies in order to do so.

Out of those particular weapons the Heavy Sniper is the only one I use so eh... Doesn't seem like worth it to me personally

Yes, the Heavy Sniper Mk II is a guaranteed one-shot kill anywhere north of the waist. Even with a suppressor attached, you have a good chance of a one-shot kill unless you're shooting from extreme distance.

This is with normal rounds. With hollow point rounds, incendiary rounds or explosive rounds the damage potential is even greater.

Once you research and buy them, can you change between them without having to rebuy them?

Significantly. And you don't need anything on it apart from Explosive or standard because with upgrades standard is good enough to be 1 shot kill. FMJ is a good thing for anti-material hunting without paying insurance, surgical tool.

Not as such, they aren't a 'modification' in the literal sense. Think of it as if you were actually buying the rounds. You can only buy them from a weapons workshop in your MOC, and you can only carry a limited amount. If you run out or want to switch, you have to go back to your MOC to either change back to your 'normal' normal for free, buy more of the same rounds or buy a different kind of special rounds.

e.g. I have 9,000 'normal' rounds, but want to use incendiary rounds on my carbine rifle. I have to buy those incendiary rounds in my MOC and they're then classed as separate ammunition, and I can only carry a certain amount, far fewer than the amount of normal rounds I can carry. Once I run out of them I have to buy more, or switch to a new ammo type or back to normal rounds. All has to be done within the MOC.

Good news: Yes :santa:

Bad News: Different rounds have different magazine sizes, different max. capacities, are much more expensive, and you can only switch ammo types in the gun shop in your MOC

I found incendiary quite unreliable and weak though...and did not really notice a lot of special things when considering hollow point and armor piercing....is fmj the best thing then ?

I've upragaded my carbine rifle mk.ii, but it won't appear in my inventory, I tried to get it from my trailer and it says 'This item is currently unavailable', I also tried to buy the carbine from ammunation it said that I need to revert the weapon. What should I do ?
