Honestly, I looked at the price tag and thought "is it worth it?" for just a bike.

The answer is yes. Yes it is.

It's a real beauty. I got mine in blue. A friend told me about the rocket boosts and I wasted no time in buying it. Also, the missiles are much faster than Buzzard IMO. Gliding is the most fun part. Although expensive, it's definitely one of the best bikes in GTA Universe.

Also, Saber Fairing vs Stock Fairing. Which one do you prefer?

So, is it possible to make this your favorite bike by riding it enough?

I've heard that you can upgrade the missiles from Buzzard-style missiles, to fast and more accurate Ruiner-style missiles.

Is that true or BS?

IIRC there's only one kind of missiles for Oppressor.

And... mine's gone -.-' Police impounded it. So i stole it back. Went to my garage to sell 2 cars to make space and now it says it's still impounded yet there's no bike there...

Sorry, kind of too lazy to read if someone has fixed this. But if they havent, if you own a CEO office, you can call your assistant on your phone (while registered as a CEO) to retrieve an impounded vehicle. You could try that. I hope it works!

I almost feel this thing is way OP. But i love it so much i dont care. Heli's jets cars everything demolished. Those other new gun running vehicles get trashed by this thing.. have yet to be killed on this by any vehicle other than 1 jet

I have now had someone blow up my Oppressor for no reason while it is sitting on the side of the road twice; which is honestly amusing to me since they are the ones who have to pay the $20K for it after doing so, lmfao.

I had this bike for less than a week and ended up in bad sport. I was in there in 2013 when it was stupidly easy to get in, so it was a 4 day stint this time. I'm nearly out of there, but damn has that been a great place to practise against the most aggressive of the aggressive!

I love this bike, just did a glide from Mt.Chiliad to the sea right beyond the airport. No touches to the ground and ofc only one use of the rocket boost. :)

They made it obvious but here is one of the inspiration vehicle they used.

pHmk7bH.png

Yep - and having done some digging, there's quite possibly a cool reason for that:

See, the other main visual inspiration is obviously the bike from the cult '80s TV show Street Hawk:

Hawk-rider11.jpg

The slimmer proportions and shapes of the match the above, while details like the 'nose' and wings (as well as the flight capability) are straight from the Galactica 1980 Turbocycles - and the rocket boost splits the difference between the engine of the Turbocycle, and Street Hawk's 'hyperthrust' ability.

They're close enough that it's not a huge stretch for R* to make a hybrid of the two - but there's more! ;)

A bit like how the Rocket Voltic takes Elon Musk's two main claims to fame (SpaceX and Tesla) and homages both by shoving a rocket on a Tesla Roadster Coil Voltic, and the Shotaro combines the overall shape of the Lotus C-01 with the styling of the TRON: Legacy lightcycles (both designed by Daniel Simon), there's a similar link between both Street Hawk and Battlestar Galactica. Andrew Probert (who designed everything from the Enterprise-D for Star Trek: The Next Generation, to the helicopter modifications for Airwolf) designed a bunch of things for Galactica (most notably the classic Cylons), but also came up with the look of Street Hawk.

(...all of which is moot, since the bods over on the GTA wiki will nevertheless insist that it's just a homage to MegaForce... :rol:)

Is there any difference in the bike depending on which price you pay for it?

I love this bike, so much fun to fly around. A few interesting things I have noticed:

...

- You only have to touch the ground briefly to initiate recharge. This lets you "touch and go" and refire in the air at whatever angle or altitude you want.

You don't have to touch the ground, just a solid part of the map. Yes, you can touch and go on the vertical sides of buildings as you fly past - no need to even descend!
