PSA: Don't upgrade MOC with vehicle inside!

Recommended Posts

I had an APC in my MOC and decided to upgrade one of the cabs. It deleted my APC and I had to buy a new one. I've already sent Rockstar a ticket. Hopefully they will refund my money.

I just wanted to warn everyone else so nobody else gets screwed.

EDIT:

If this happens to you do the following: Request Personal Vehicle and it should appear.

you need the weapons and vehicle mod to be able to also mod the cars. makes the personal vehicle storage option

pretty useless.

aslo dont deliver supplies in your personal vehicle, while you have a vehicle stored in that one parking slot. My tampa is gone after delivering supplies. My personal car took the spot.

This happened to Broughy too.

But he just went to "Request Personal Vehicle" in the interaction menu and his newly purchased, seemingly deleted Dune FAV was delivered to him.

DUDEEEEEE

Wish I knew this 3 hours ago before I bought a new one. I just did this and it appeared right next to me. You're the man!

I guess now i'll own an APC with a SAM and an APC with a Turret lol

Wasn't planning on this but here we are...

Thank you!

Yeah, much of this DLC is not exactly intuitive. Lots of moving parts. Little explanation.

Cheers to those diving in and learning the ropes. I'm glad to share whatever I find and thankful for others who do the same.

My advice for anyone feeling completely lost, go to twitch.tv and watch the latest vids from:

Sugar_Free_NOS (who will be streaming again around 18:00 UTC, 2pm EDT, 11am PDT)

Broughy1322

CaliMeatWagon is streaming new stuff atm and mixing in MC/CEO work.

Dcuo_man should be on later today. He's usually good for checking out new things.

You don't have to buy it again. It is still under the request stored vehicle (under the Mobile Command Center in the interaction menu) or whatever even after you upgrade. Someone should update the OP.

Source: I had two APCs for a minute because I didn't realize this at first. I made sure the "request stored vehicle" one wasn't the APC in my garage by storing it in the same garage where I realized I had two.

your vehicle isn't lost. it's just 'virtually stored'. that happened to me once when i bought a property for a smaller one. your car is stored in a virtual garage. the way i did to recover my cars, honestly i don't remember. i think you need to launch a coop and to choose your lost car. but the car (unless specific bug) is not gone. try calling personal vehicle, and mecanics too

I wish I could sell one of my APC's back. I hope Rockstar will refund me the money since I had no idea if it was gone or not.

I've sold mine in the MOC.

What interessts me now is will the vehicle stay in this virtually storage even if I call it from the mechanic/interactionmenu and get another car later on?

I did not lose my APC in the upgrade but it has disappeared and I am not able to call if from any of my garages. I think lost it when I upgraded a random vehicle from the road it I tried requesting personal vehicle for my APC still nothing happened any suggestion

My Tampa is back. :^:

Question: How do I get my Personal Vehicle back after parking it in the Mobile Operations Center and then changing the configuration of the MOC?

Answer: The Mobile Operations Center (MOC) can be extensively customized including color, details, armor, weapons and module configuration. If you store one of your Personal Vehicles in the MOC vehicle bay module, and then change that module configuration of your MOC, your vehicle will no longer be stored in the MOC. To retrieve the vehicle, open the Personal Interaction menu, select Mobile Operations Center then Request Personal Vehicle, and your vehicle will be delivered to you.

Guys, alternate method....just found out personally.

If the game tells you NO ACTIVE VEHICLE IS AVAILABLE, then call Mors Mutual and you will see the Oppressor listed there as eligible to be replaced because apparently it got destroyed in the MOC. No Charge for reclaiming.

Did that with my kuruma armored and now it's gone upgraded from personal vehichle storage to weapon and vehichle workshop
