Is it worth the money to buy the shooting range?

Do I need it to be able to upgrade weapons?

Or is that only possible in the MOC?

Mk2 weapon upgrades can only be done in the MOC's weapon workshop.

The shooting range grants you rewards based on how many challenges you complete, such as weapon tints and clothes, but more importantly it increases your explosive carrying capacity.

Beating all of the tier 2 shooting range challenges lets you carry 5 more of every explosive.

Its up to you whether that's worth the money.

Keep in mind that the shooting range challenges in the bunker are significantly more difficult than the ones in ammunation, particularly if you're on console using a game pad.

Those shooting range challenges seem impossible to me. Maybe I just don't understand how they work, but they seem ludicrously difficult. So far I've only beaten tier 1 of the heavy sniper. On every attempt I am torn between shooting fast (but not accurately) to try to keep hitting targets, or shooting accurately (not fast) for headshots that seem to ramp up my score per shot. The second approach was how I beat the sniper challenge, but I haven't even come close on the pistol, SMG or AR no matter what I do. Honestly I'm just baffled, I'd love to watch a video of someone on XBox or PS4 beating those damn things.

Okay, I need some advice. Compared to the avarage player I have very little money and that's mostly reserved for buying and upgrading cars. Ofcourse, investing in a means to generate more money outside of just racing is a good idea and I've never really been able to pass up and APC, so:

Setting up a gunrunning bunker and the like, that'll be a one off purchase price.

1. Then there's the buy and sell nonsense: Can I do this on my own, provided I can still get an empty public going?

2. How much money is this thing gonna bleed? Like upkeep, rent, paying assistants to do nothing. I saw somewhere in this thread it's gonna be something in vicinity of $7000. Seriously?

3. If I lose interest in this, which all kinda hinges on being able to do this alone and in an empty world, can I shut the whole thing down and be rid of the the moneybleed? I think I just saw a screenshot with an option to shut down the business, but does that shut it down good?

Funny thing happened to me, I wonder if other people are experiencing the same thing.

I've managed the staff twice now while having no supplies, I believe once from manufacturing to research and once the other way around. Both times I got an amount of supplies; about 10% for the first time and 20% for the second. Changing their work while having supplies does not have an effect though.

Oddly, when I did a support run (crate from container ship), I returned it and nothing was added. Right after this I had the second of the two occasions above by managing. Bugs?

I'm on Xbox and just managed to finish all Tier 3 challenges... not looking forward to doing them again on my 2nd character.

I get the feeling they skill tested these challenges on PC. You just don't get the precision needed on a game pad.

Half the battle is just getting good spawns on the targets, hopefully close together so you don't have to swing wide and have to waste time re-centering head shots. Getting 3 stars on the pistol was particularly painful.

With regards to what you can do, all I can suggest is to keep practicing your head shots and your ability to quickly switch between targets. That and hope for spawns that let you naturally flow from target to target. Luck is a factor.

It might help to fiddle with your deadzone and aim sensitivity settings and see what feels the most natural to you. I had to mess with my settings a bit as the default was a bit too unresponsive.

Difficulty wise for me was: (from hardest to easiest)

Pistol > Carbine Rifle > Assault Rifle > SMG > Combat MG > Heavy Sniper

Reward wise:

Tier 1: Weapon tints

Tier 2: Carrying capacity of all explosives increased by 5

Tier 3: 3 caps, 3 hoodies, 6 t-shirts (gun themed)

1. I'm a solo player and I've had no difficulty yet, even in lobbies with players.

2. Upkeep is $7500

3. Not sure, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't.

Upkeep is $9200 when fully upgraded. Also I think that the upgrades do make a significant difference to value of product, and speed of production but don't quote me on that :p

Some context, I have a fully upgraded bunker, and selling around one tenth of total product out of county gets me about 150K.

I've got the staff and security upgrade so far.

Gotcha.

On a side note, I'll be opening up the spreadsheet soon. I made some goofs and got to do some more testing and fix some things.

I doubt I'll be sinking money into upgrades. Turning any profit usually suits my urges.

Things quickly turn into hopeless calculations in my head.

Like:

Without uprgades my upkeep is 7500

With upgrades upkeep is 9200

I will have to sell x amount of product to cover the upkeep spent over the time supplying and sellling, plus the investment in the upgrades.

Then there's the upkeep for my appartment, garages, mechanic and secretary who will do anything but still doesn't put out out.

And that's leaving out the cost of ammo and all kinds of trivial things needed for the tasks at hand.

Seriously, my math teacher f*cked me up bad. Playing GTA is hell for me. ;o)

I remember simple times, when a couple of laps around downtown covered my expenses...

Upkeep is 8625 for me. I have staff, equipment upgrades and living quarters. No gun locker or range yet

Sales mission harder than MC. Five drops and u have to kill 5 MW guys in vehicles plus chopper at every one.

I delivered 4 of the 5 loads then ran out of time - the 30 min up. $41 k pmt.

Shooting range challenges are definitely a challenge. So far I've got all the tier 1 and up to tier 3 with the sniper.

There are 2 by the sandy shores airfield, on each side of the long strip and 1 by the see at fort zankudo. Want to see wich one most of players gonna buy, dont wanna end up in cluster f*ck war every time I want to go in the bunker

just bought the one near the left south of the map people don't bother me

Explosive bullets are expensive and time consuming. They'd better be worth it. Touche, R*, on making me have to have the gun range to carry more of these.

Explosive bullets are insane, cars without armor gets taken out with one shot

The apc seems massively op in a good way. All terrain, quick and can take out a Zancudo tank in 2 shots. Not sure on its armour but we drove around for ages with a 5 star and it never smoked.

It charges me 9400$ btw for bunker staff and utilities. Ive got the Farmhouse? 2.3ish mil one with all the most expensive options and fully upgraded.

Also got a MOC with the weapon/vehicleshop module, dunno if that person inside is also effecting the daily fee.

Is it possible to upgrade and modify my APC in my friends MOC or do I have to buy my own MOC?

Any response will help!

Better find out before u invest in the upgrades. I did a sales run 5 drop offs each one u have to kill 5 MW plus a chopper. 30 min alottef and I could only do 4. That did it for me - back to AE.

I don't believe bunker biz for solo operators

Is it me or the stock (product) development time is extremely slow, going up by intervals of $7,000? With all efforts on developing stock, it hasn't made a lot of advancements as I'm stuck around $160,000.

I'm loving the fact that when you go to sell your merchandise, all the product is in one vehicle. Thank you Rockstar!

Thing that stands out for me is how little extra there is to do.

Once you have full supplies they go down so slowly that you don't need to resupply for ages.

So you do a sale for maybe $14k to help unlock the missions then resupply a tiny amount after. Now you have nothing to sell and don't need supplies.

Add in the 8 missions once you've unlocked them but there's still a lot of time that you can't be productive in this compared to other CEO or Biker work.

Research is ridiculously slow as has been mentioned so instead I'm sinking loads of cash into it.

I do like the supply and sale mission though. They seem easier and shorter distances when doing them alone compared to with friends in your organisation.
