If you somehow would be able to spawn and drive these cars in a race, you wouldn't be able to use the car's weapons(unless it is a GTA Race) as passive mode is enforced on races. So, besides the special vehicles, there is no reason to block these cars to be used in races(exception being the Opressor, obviously) R* is f*cking stupid... Everytime i drive or even think about the Ardent, i quickly become a potent mixture of sad and angry. Honestly, I don't know why this one is bothering me so much, but I have been deeply annoyed by this for two weeks now. When the Nightshark came out it was fairly obvious the Ardent wouldn't be raceable either, and that fact is not only ruining the car for me but also the game. Silly, I know, but a loyal fan/customer of 15 years only has so much patience... The Hunter better be the best thing ever added to GTAO if I ever hope to overcome this disappointed malaise. The Torero and Cheetah Classic were also retailed at ~$1 mil plus upgrades. I'd say it's the "growing" economy that's responsible. When you pay, like, $15k for a ripped jeans vest with some camo, then you know sh*t's off. Thanks, Rockstar.But they keep on making fundamental errors on practically everything they do - just tiny to moderate little things that irritate the hell out of some people. Why force this vehicle into being a military vehicle - it's a MILITARY vehicle, folks, not a racecar! Why? Why not provide an option at the mod-shop to turns guns on/off, and allow us to choose between military or race vehicle? I don't understand these constant little bodge-ups. The Lotus Esprit is a sports classic that's widely beloved by many, and always will be. There's no need to tarnish the name/memories, Rockstar, by forcing us to use this car in the way YOU want. No paintable interior, stupid guns on it, and the fact that most modded parts look terrible. Come on R* you need to make me want to buy upgrades for it so make sure lsc has some good stuff. Stock parts look best on it. Only thing i added was the spoiler and a new front bumper. Would love to rock the secondary stripe but the part on the skirt bugs the hell out of me. They tried to make a new 'bond' car but they failed. The guns should have been a research unlockeable. But as many of you I really wanted to race this car, specially after knowing its performance as tested by Broughy. Do you guys think that it's relatively possible to R* give us the option to de-weaponize this car in the future? I guess all it would take is an option in the MOC customization to swap between mounted machine guns and no mounted weapons at all. I am collecting cars since I've bought the vehicle warehouse and started grinding. I've been able to buy most of the cars I wanted. This was one of the most antecipated cars by me, along with XA-21 (another incredible looking ride btw), so for me this is a huge bummer. If R* instead released a separate de-weaponized version, I would (again, as many here) much rather stick with that. So I guess I'll wait a little bit. Seems like it can be customer in the MOC, perhaps in a future summer update research for Aquatic functionality, replace smg with harpoon guns for underwater exploration of ocean dlc. Wishing.
