What is the cash reward limit for destroying special cargo?

Recommended Posts

If you destroy enough crates, you will eventually reach a limit where the game informs you you will not be paid for subsequent destructions:

Eventually, the game will start to pay you for trolling CEOs again:

Has anyone figured out what the daily limit is? And how long the cool-down period is before you start getting paid again?

And yes, I just want to preempt everyone by saying that I welcome your hatred. :inlove:

Nice job covering your modded millions in the screenshot. No hiding that you're one of those pricks with the "I'm rich, no one else gets to be" mindset.

I hope your character corrupts.

Learned something new again today...

3+ years, and still bits to learn, along with tomorrow's DLC, that's why the games a winner for me...

Not that I ever expect to reach said limit mind you... Lol...

It will never 'pay' for itself. Time to buy a shark card or buy a CEO business kiddo.

Not sure about that.

Calling in a hydra is cheap as hell and the anger of idiots who do that kind of sh*t in full random public lobbies is pretty much priceless.

Why is there a limit in the first place? They encourage you to obliterate the time and money investment of CEO's for a measly two thousand dollars or so? But then they say "hey buddy, that's enough, wait a little while before acting like a prick again"?

Possible entry for the "worst of Rockstar logic" thread right here.

Haha you silly goose, Rockstar won't ban me. I support them in this fashion by making would-be cargo exporters turn to shark cards instead. Also, I'm playing the game just as it was designed. As Rockstar themselves say, "succeeding as a CEO requires navigating the risks and rewards of the ruthless Los Santos free market – where everyone is out to snipe at your latest venture". So if you're gonna be a crybaby about getting your sh*t blown up, you should find yourself another game to play. The CEO business was not designed for you.

Now, as for the amount of crates it takes to reach the limit, I don't think I had blown up more than 20. I quit playing after that and picked up the next day, which is when I got the message that the payout cap was removed. I don't know if it's limited per real-time days or in-game days at this point, but it would be interesting to know. I guess it's hard to get an answer here though, among all the butthurt!

I... can't believe this is actually a thing, much less than someone actually managed to discover it.

I just can't believe it took this long for someone to discover the "troll cap".

It's been a sh*tshow since warehouses dropped. Must be doing some serious trolling to hit a cap.

Mr. OP. People who would buy shark cards as a result of that would most likely be buying shark cards anyway before bothering putting in HOURS of game time to collect crates.

You honestly believe that collecting crates for ten hours instead of buying a card and instantly getting money is a great idea but they'll suddenly reach for their wallets when you blow their stuff up?

They'd be stupid to do that. If they know about shark cards it's much more likely they'd skip the hassle of even trying to sell crates. You're not supporting anyone but yourself. And that's fine. But don't expect people to like you for doing what may be a legitimate in-game activity, but frowned upon morally speaking.

Solid Scorpion: Well, to be fair the screenshots are actually from November of last year. I just didn't bother to create the thread until now, when I ran into the cap again. But yeah, it takes serious trolling! I'll try to keep count next time to figure out how much.

Gta community at its finest. Are you really still surprised about how many idiots play this game?

You should have to pay 2000 bucks to the ceo whose cargo you killed.

To this day I still don't know of why people cover their money and rank. I mean there's only gotta be one reason why tbh.

Sorry, boy, but the CEO business is something for me.

I just happened to find a way to eliminate the competition from stopping me. ;)

On the subject of crate destroying, I'd only do it for the ammo. It's a way of getting fireworks ammo back (unless it's been patched). A friend and I used to farm fireworks ammo from crates by destroying each others crates.

Well, that's for me to know and you to find out, isn't it. Not that you can, though! Because it's not like I have the same nick in GTA.

In before the thread imploses in a black hole, never botherd blowing sh*t up as a priority...most of the time im selling something. But to the op, big clap for the discovery. Now you can post this on the "things you didnt know about gta"

I swear GTA Online is just a giant social experiment.

I mean, for $2k? Is it really worth it? Folks would get more money selling a Baller. It's just griefing for griefs sake at that point.

Well, considering that in freeroam the hydra and bati 801 are pretty much the only vehicles you need for most activities and oth can be called for for almost no money it is kinda worth it.

That being said, it still would be better for everyone if cargo became indestructible and the goal was to steal rather then to destroy, but hey, that is cockstar for ya !

It's worth it for the lulz! And for padding the K/D.

Don't mind the haters.

I haven't minded haters since the first time I ever logged onto internet with a 28k-modem back in the day.

I found a way to avoid such tryhard-trolls and Hydra spammers such as yourself. So I ain't worried that I won't make 8 millions in one week without buying ingame money of a game which I already paid for. It's one of the features the developers failed at and this caused bored dumbasses to use the opportunity ruining the gaming sessions of others.

By the way: If you support R* by "motivating" others to buy shark cards, why aren't you buying shark cards and let your hands of modded money which harms your beloved game developers?

You know what?

Nevermind.

Don't answer the last question. I fed you troll to obesity...

Edited by CenturionCat

Hatred aside, the so-called "payment" for destroying cargo and crates is already laughably low...

There's a limit to it too?

As if anyone could be assed enough to destroy the stuff who wasn't a massive knob already...

Also, lets not pretend that you care about the rewards, this was posted solely for negative attention.
