chronic lumbago
I finished thick skin right away. You have a croc lair and a hyena lair with vultures on the same island where you met that skin maker dude. Look north and west of his location. Don't ask me why you need to pull croc and vulture eggs out of the dead animal's ass and not the egg nest though.. darthYENIK
I love the papyrus puzzles. Like the zodiac puzzles of Unity, but more geographic. I did the one where you have to go to the place of remembrance and find the place where Ra's gaze is avoided the longest. Its not as educational as the zodiac puzzles as those involved reading database entries, but pretty satisfying. Much more satisfying than the weak investigations Ive come across so far. chronic lumbago and El Dildo
El Dildo
I took 265 screenshots now. amen, brother. I've completely lost track of how many screenshots I've taken in Origins already. hands down one of the best looking games I've played in years. rtie, Rockstar Vienna, chronic lumbago and 2 others

UltraZ
Ubisoft already responded to this and said it had nothing to do with Denuvo and that it's simply a performance heavy game. I'm not defending them though, just saying what they said. Well, the new update shows that they're clearly lying, still people are experiencing 100% CPU usage problems

Well, the new update shows that they're clearly lying, still people are experiencing 100% CPU usage problems no doubt they are, and im not against they trying to protect the game from being pirated, but Denuvo was always a weak measure, and in this case it runs non stop every time you do anything. mine is running fine, only a few hours in, but cant complain much, once started it was set to the max settings at 3440x1440 and it was running between 45-60, so i just lowered theAA's to medium, and its perfect. chronic lumbago
Damn, you need to login to Ubisoft and I forgot my password. Waiting for recovery email now but I'll probably be too late. Thanks anyways. Edit: got it! Got some free goodies. I've claimed the 2nd code. AZAZEL
Besides the gorgeous looks, all the little details are what do it for me. Like how Bayek's voice is muffled, if his mouth is covered when you put the hood of your outfit up, and how you can pass guided predator arrows through torches or braziers on their way to their target, for some extra fire damage on the go. It's awesome how creative the game lets us be. Few more pics. chronic lumbago, El Dildo, rtie and 2 others
jpm1
For f*cks sake Ubisoft, quit restricting me from exploring the world!! I wanted to take my trusty camel and drive off into the sunset to see what I can find but nooooooo this area is blocked with an animus barrier. I seriously hope this will change once I progress a bit further and can explore the WHOLE MAP if I want to, even if it kills me! Early story spoilers about the first mission you need to be level 5 for. Read only if you completed it, it's an important scene so you have been warned. That scene hit me so hard, I really don't feel well right now. Not only Bayek's son is murdered, his dad also had to be the one piercing a blade through his heart. And the "Your son won't see the afterlife".. f*ck man, I really feel for Bayek. I'm really liking the protagonist, finally a very likable characrer with a good heart who isn't an Ezio wannabe. that was the thing that most upset me in Black flag lmao i hated and still hate black flag because of this. greatest waste in video history imo. i do hope origins won't follow these tracks. all the things i see so far make me want to buy it. but i'm gonna read lot of reviews before. because i saw lot of praise for watch dogs 2 too, and in the end, i found the game pretty boring
chronic lumbago
^^Origins doesn't lock you out of exploration until after the end of the first chapter. 1-2 hours and you're free to go wherever you want. Anyone else addicted to blowing money on heka chests? People have reported getting outfits from the store but they seem very rare. I have some very good legendary weapons by now. A fire sniper bow, a cursed sword which locks my health to 33% but does double damage, my poisoned f*cking axe which is my favorite so far and a few more. I'm exploring the Giza region currently, been inside the largest Pyramid and the Sphinx. It's amazing. Original Light
I have no idea if I'm not far enough in the game, but is there a safehouse or at least a chest where Bayek can store some gear he doesn't want to carry? Maybe it's not necessary since there appears to be no weight limit like in The Witcher 3, Fallout, or Skyrim. chronic lumbago
^^I think I'm far enough to confirm there isn't. Doesn't bother me. I like how the inventory system works. The first Trial of the Gods arrived, I don't stand a chance again Anubis. He kicked my ass. Think I won't make it this week why is this a limited event? Does he really need to be a level 40 boss? chronic lumbago
Well, at least I got a screenshot of Anubis. You won't stand a chance underleveled. @question above: Yes and no. It's quite complicated because of all the mysteries of Egypt. I assume you know the fiction of Assassins Creed, the Animus and traveling back in time to experience live of our ancestors using DNA? That's the fictional, absurd part of every AC. However, the historical part us based on.. history. Pretty accurate history. Yes, realistic history you can even learn from. Egypt was lost in time but they did an outstanding job recreating acient Egypt with the help of professionals. That new boss fight, the fictional fight against a God isn't part of the main lore. It is a "glitch" in the Animus, our DNA time machine. It's optional, you don't need to do it and it has nothing to do with the main story. It's cool as f*ck though. Egypt itself is a big mystery though and they managed to show it in this game. You can see mirages, hallucinations in the desert.. or are they real? That's up to you to interpret. AC, this one included, is a mix of realistic history and a bit of scifi. jpm1
thanks a lot. well yeah i just discovered that animus thing while watching youtube vids of origins. and i'm glad i'm not the only one finding that thing absurd. so you are a guy forced dreaming somewhere, and all that beautiful and great world is part of the animus thing. i think i'll pass on that one. i mean that animus is just too dumb for me. Ubisoft can make great games, but it has also lot of talent to ruin potentially great games in seconds. was very very close to buy it. but i have an age i'm just tired of that kind of things. black flag was a bit like that too. potentially mythical game, and totally ruined by uber silly storyline, and fake open world, riddled with invisible walls
Rockstar Vienna
15 hours into the game with just a few main missions and tons of side activities/quests completed and I'm loving it so far. A few negative points tho: Failed a few missions because of silly bugs. For some reason enemies often seem to know where you are even if you hide out of their sight. The riding mechanics are sometimes a bit frustrating and the GPS often makes no sense. But overall it is a great game with tons of things to do and to discover. The open world is beautiful, full of details and never boring. So far I'd give AC Origins a 9/10. The break last year definitely paid off. Last AC I enjoyed was Black Flag. joshua969 and MrBellicLC

Not liking the animus isn't a good reason to not be interested in the series imo. I've been pretty much ignoring it since the 3rd or 4th game. I don't care if it's there or not, I just play it for the historical part and especially in Origins, modern day and Animus isn't that important. Basically you're looking into a history book by accessing the animus, don't think of it as a "dream". It's historical things that actually happened according to the AC lore and many tie-ins to real historical events and personalities.
