@Pedinhuh. How is their rent doing?

Hmm...

Is this supposed to be a joke, that I'm getting to worried about them?

Because I'm not, but seeing their constant whinning about the content they were expecting not coming in this DLC, even though they should -ahem- have seen it coming from a mile away that their stuff wasn't coming, is getting old too fast.

I was fully expecting to be able to buy a Railgun, or a Sniper Rifle with explosive ammo, but I'm very much aware that the chances of these weapons coming are slim to none since they are overpowered, so I don't complain about it everywhere I go.

this.

it's the constant sh*t posting about the apc from the flyers because they still haven't seen new aircraft that made me stop hanging out with those guys.

the influx of "flying griefers" that "will sh*t all over the apc" yesterday was just cringeworthy.

There is no joy of driving any vehicle or shooting, and it's not much of different if you drive supercar or truck, I enjoyed more Sleeping dogs handling and that was awful as well.

Physics are not anything that can be objectively judged.

Grand Theft Auto V introduced more arcady phsyics to the series, which allowed for the huge potential to stunt jump and master certain vehicles.

That led to the eruption out of an entirely new community within the series: The stunting community.

Furthermore, I can still remember quite a lot of people complaining massively about Grand Theft Auto IVs "boat like" physics, if at all, the revamp of their physics to be more arcady, stems from fans requesting exactly that.

Let's face it, why the f*ck R* f*cked physics in this game so much, when they still making these DLCs. Handling, physics is worse than in some f*cking anime. Guns have instant reloading, and shooting at same place all time. IV had a best physics and there is 10 firearms guns and 100 vehicles, In V is 500 vehicles and 80 guns. That's a great evidence about less is sometimes more. But I don't get it, it's a same company, same engine, and they f*cked up that so much. There is no joy of driving any vehicle or shooting, and it's not much of different if you drive supercar or truck, I enjoyed more Sleeping dogs handling and that was awful as well.

Right. That's why V is immensely more popular - because it's not fun. Ok. Bye now.

Same here.

To the above poster. I prefer V to IV.

You could play IV ya know.

I noticed the pinned topic about 3 quote minimum.

How about a rule for this guy to have a 3 post minimum per day or per topic.

At this point. its like nearly 25% of this topic... maybe more Of HIM complaining about what someone said.. or how they said it. Repeating basically the same one liner bullsh*t that he says every day.

Hes basically a human spam bot.

Driving in IV took skill, so 95% of the players hated it.

I am not a great racer and stayed on foot like I do now. Poppin tires was great fun.

How to be a better driver than 95% of GTA players: Your throttle has more than two positions.

True, but even so, you had to really hold down the stick just to turn as flicking it in the direction you wanted to go in just wasn't enough.

Having to brake or even tap the brakes rapidly from 753 miles away just as you got to 2nd gear wasn't any fun either.

Yep, case in point: Broughy1332 loves it, he's currently doing a new videos series of races in that game and praised a lot of things on it, like how the suspension works and how brakes properly lockup and not every car has ABS, and he didn't even mentioned if the game had "boat physics" or not.

He also plans on doing a run down of all vehicle classes of that game, which according to him, are all properly balanced.

But as we all know by now:

Casual gameplay = Fun for the majority

Hardcore gameplay = Fun for the minority

Anyway, back on topic:

So, I haven't followed this thread quite closely, but can we confIrm that NV or Thermal scopes are coming?

I fail to see the point of NV scopes since we already got NV goggles and equipping those is relatively easy, but Thermal Scopes could be interesting.

thermal has been confirmed yes.

there is a scene in the trailer that shows it off.

as for NV scopes well i guess it could be more easy to access IF you could switch it on via the the D pad as opposed to the night goggles that have to be put on by going into your inventory menu and the fact that you have to wear it.

I agree with your point, but your information is not entirely correct.

History Lesson!

Stunting was huge with San Andreas players, especially on PC.

The multiplayer mods for San Andreas also featured insane stunt tracks, not at all unlike what we see with Cunning Stunts.

GTA IV threw all of that in the garbage with its emphasis on weighty, sloppy car handling. While the driving physics in IV provided a sort of fun in their own right, they didn't lend to the crazy, frenetic driving fun found in the previous games - which was a draw for many, many players. GTA IV was a major departure from that and, while the physics sort of have their own cult following, it was NOT a popular decision. There was a lot of complaining going on about it. Especially the bike physics, which were ATROCIOUS, even to the point where Rockstar completely changed them for the very first DLC/Expansion released for IV.

One of the BIGGEST complaints about IV was the driving. Set aside the argument over realism; it wasn't FUN for the majority of players. The general consensus is that the driving just sucked. You can argue all you want about "skill" and "realism" but none of that matters - GTA had established over a decade of reputation as an arcadey, silly, fun sandbox goof off game and to suddenly yank that rug out from under the masses in order to show off a detail physics engine.. it didn't go over well.

Rockstar directly addressed this with their promotional material leading up to V's release. They were very clear about the fact that V was meant to return the physics and game play of the series back to a more light hearted arcadey romp such as in San Andreas, albeit with modern physics and a slightly greater emphasis on realism than the 3D era games.

Yup, sure. Just like 100% of made up percentages by random internet nobodies are completely fabricated. So, you have that going for you at least. 🤗

Not appealing to me either. Looks like it draws from the biker mechanics along with a sprinkling of hiests. However, Lots of explosions and PEWPEWPEW it appears is incoming = boring.

GTA:COD it is I guess. Wonder if this update gets the Exosuit?

eh...too guyish for me. not interested. i feel bad for my hunter buddy.

Thermal scopes confirmed then? Alright.

This will surely make things interesting, my biggest problem with sniping is spotting players and NPCS target from a far, sometimes NV goggles help, but not every time.

Plus I have been wanting to use thermal scopes since I first used then in Singleplayer.

Good thing R* finally realized that having features locked to SP is not a wise move, here's hoping one day they will bring on the Space Docker and Go-Go Monkey Blista Compact for those who want it

I'm glad they did. It's a crime sim, not a racing sim. And even with "arcadey" physics, each car has unique and distinctive handling still.

Also to fellow pilots worried about AA: relax, they only get 6 shots, you still have infinite *insert aircraft here* for a measly 200 bucks or free from you CEO menu. Between limited AA ammo and the fact that you can call infinite Pegasus, i would say there will be a relative balance.

Also, when Mach says no new aircrafts, i would suggest you believe him and not needlessly get your hopes up. He knows what he's talking about. I'm very sad there's no Hunter, but such is life... let's move on to.the things we will enjoy that actually are in the update.

So, do we think the new Weaponized Vehicles will be spawnable through the interaction menu? I think they will but with a heafty cool down like the Special Vehicles.

I think Weaponized Vehicles are going to be exactly like Special Vehicles. Downgraded for Free Roam and everything.

And yeah I would imagine Rockstar has some balance in mind. We all thought the R2K would just wreck free roam for forever, and that turned out to not be the case.

This still works in V, because if you actually control your pedal without that obnoxious one go setting, you can actually swerve, maneuver and not crash into f*cking peds all the time, lol

Good point Dalton. I'm still salty that i can use my Ramp Buggy and Wastelander in races... Hopefully they fixed that with these new vehicles. No reason that we shouldn't be able to race unarmed versions of all the Special and new Weaponized Vehicles. I have 3 playlists full of thoughtful custom made off road tracks that half the new vehicles would be PERFECT for. Half track races? Come on! That would be a blast through the Zancudo River Valley..

Tank races, police car races, Barracks races, etc.. all of it would be a lot of fun but alas, Rockstar says "no way".

What makes you think that they'll only get six shots? And if a supersonic jet with infinite ammo that can be respawned with no cooldown vs an all-but-stationary (if it's not actually stationary) AA system that's only got six shots is your idea of "relatively balanced", I'd hate to see what you'd call an "unbalanced" scenario...

Personally, I hope it's like a "mobile" yacht defense system. Get within a certain radius and the automatic boom-boom starts happening until they're turned off.

Small observation about the masks - a lot of people keep referring to that one particular one as a 'Predator' mask, but ..eh, I just see one of those skull-ish paintballing ones, to be honest:

Highlander-Camouflage-Wargame-font-b-Pai

The mouth/nose breathing holes are different in the trailer (because it's not going to be a 1:1 likeness), but between that and the way it's just a face mask, not a full helmet, I'd say that was more the direction R* was going with it, rather than full-on 'geeht too da choppa!'... ;)
