Why do I get the feeling that an admin will lock this topic for a few hours soon?

To remain on topic however: I definitely wanna see more of that armored vehicle pulling the gun-trailer thing, looks dope!

This looks awesome! The weapon attachments are so cool. I hope they add a bottle suppressor, like what Max Payne used xD

Tuning the Hydra would be great too. With some spinners as wheels ;-)

I think the mine shaft scene that we saw in the trailer will only be available during a certain mission. What do you guys think?

Isn't the mine always accessible? Maybe not. I thought you could get in in freemode but I've never tried.

I'm having a hard time being convinced about the Gunrunning DLC. FaF just didn't live up to expectations for my part as I found the CEO work to be rather boring (and largely unprofitable for its time consumation). The Bikers DLC was a lot more fun (for obvious reasons maybe) except it wasn't for biker work itself, which in turn was just more CEO-type work, so basically the same scenario nonetheless. I still haven't even bothered with Import/Export because it just looks like an extremely expensive endavour which isn't much different.

Gunrunning, unfortunately, looks like it's shaping up to be yet another DLC in the same vein. It's like R* focuses more on throwing in goodies such as vehicles, weapons and clothing, rather than trying to do something new with the gameplay. I dunno, I have a hard time right now to see how it would be worth all the money. It's like inflation: prices are increasing but the fun doesn't follow. So we get some new cool vehicles and all that, but the work itself is still (probably) largely the same as we've done before as CEO:s or bikers. I just don't see the longevity in it. But then again, it's just my opinion.

Import/Export has a high initial cost (warehouse) but otherwise your investment is minimal. You DO pay for damage to the vehicles and you CAN pay to upgrade them before a sale, but unless the vehicles get destroyed you'll almost always profit, or break even at the very least.

And if you look at your profit overall instead of on an individual sale basis, it makes losing a single car easier to swallow. Like, you just made a million in sales of a dozen other vehicles, but this one last vehicle got destroyed and you lost $30,000. That 30k hit might suck on its own, but you just made a million, so you're still in the black.

I said maybe, if R* thinks it's profitable to make a part 2 of this update, they will do it.

I am not a leaker.

I am not "in the know/in the loop of things".

I am just speculating like everyone in here.

It is, one stick bomb in the entrance and voila! It's opened and you can explore it.

Spoiler: There's nothing in there.

Agreed.

Dealing in stolen cars, particularly top range models, is quite profitable and has the lowest overall risk compared to CEO crates or biker businesses.

Main reasons to deal in cars off the top of my head...

1. Cars cost nothing to source, assuming you keep damage to a minimum.

2. Minimal babying required; The vehicle warehouse is never raided unlike special cargo warehouses (occasional mandatory crate losses during certain raids) and biker businesses (police raids and managing supply/product levels). Steal cars, deliver cars, simple.

3. Almost all the cars you steal are sports/supers and only ever have a single deliver location making delivery a piece of cake compared to the multiple drop offs for special cargo and businesses in glacially slow moving targets like Tugs/Boxvilles/Titans, etc.

4. You can easily set it up so you only get top range models, maximizing profit per car, with the 20k investment being well worth it to further double your profit.

You can work through cars on your own time with minimal stress and risk.

I hope Gunrunning sales work in a similar fashion but the way the newswire describes it makes it seem similar to biker businesses. Crossing my fingers for no bunker raids.

shame that such intresting place has almost nothing going for it.

although wasn't there a body in SP that you needed to find to solve that bonus murder on the current gen versions?

Yep, and if you crew up with a Hydra and an Insurgent, you can deliver your cars in relative safety. A good team CAN protect you while you deliver a car.

The same CAN be said for crate deliveries, but it's much, much harder.

The trailer has already climbed to a massive 1.2 million views in just over 13 hours! I had no idea GTA online was as hugely popular as I had assumed.

Edit : id like to point out that in the few minutes after this post it jumped to 1.4million

And people say GTA Online is dead.

It's probably part for mission,In SP if you solve mistery, you get two vintage filters.Btw,there is another mine shaft in Sandy shores, but its locked.

Definitely. Thanks for mentioning that, you reminded me of another reason.

You can scale your deliveries; I.E. you can choose how many cars you want to export depending on how hostile the lobby is and relegate any additional organization members to convoy protection.

I mean, if you're even a half decent driver and pay attention to your mini-map you probably won't even need an escort. The cars you export are some of the fastest in the game and most people who play online can barely drive in a straight line. Even if a jet or some other complication arises you can always activate ghost organization, the 3 minutes being more than enough time even if you activate it at the very start of your delivery.

CEO crates and Biker businesses in comparison are largely all or nothing affairs making them much riskier depending on the aggression level of the lobby. Besides the slow vehicles and multiple drop offs, partial deliveries are complete losses for CEO crates and to make any decent money on Biker business you have to deliver to the opposite side of the map.

Here's hoping gunrunning won't require so much risk and micro management. Perhaps Import/Export is a good sign of things to come?

@Pedinhuh. How is their rent doing?

Hmm...

Is this supposed to be a joke, that I'm getting to worried about them?

Because I'm not, but seeing their constant whinning about the content they were expecting not coming in this DLC, even though they should -ahem- have seen it coming from a mile away that their stuff wasn't coming, is getting old too fast.

I was fully expecting to be able to buy a Railgun, or a Sniper Rifle with explosive ammo, but I'm very much aware that the chances of these weapons coming are slim to none since they are overpowered, so I don't complain about it everywhere I go.

Let's face it, why the f*ck R* f*cked physics in this game so much, when they still making these DLCs. Handling, physics is worse than in some f*cking anime. Guns have instant reloading, and shooting at same place all time. IV had a best physics and there is 10 firearms guns and 100 vehicles, In V is 500 vehicles and 80 guns. That's a great evidence about less is sometimes more. But I don't get it, it's a same company, same engine, and they f*cked up that so much. There is no joy of driving any vehicle or shooting, and it's not much of different if you drive supercar or truck, I enjoyed more Sleeping dogs handling and that was awful as well.

Same here.

To the above poster. I prefer V to IV.

You could play IV ya know.
