Anyone watch it? Glad I did, was a great celebration of Manchester rather than a memorial. Imogen Heap was in there cutting onions. Shame Noel didn't turn up, though.

I caught the last hour and it was amazing considering that it was planned and arranged so quickly. Kudos to the artistes who performed and gave much to those in need of support right now.

 

Manchester is a proud and historic city and the concert was a wonderful celebration of art, music, pride, diversity and resilience: all the things that Manchester is proud of and all the things that make Manchester great.

Yea it's a great singalong tune. Liam performing with Coldplay was a sight to behold as well, not something you'd expect to see normally!

 

Ended up being a nice gig overall and given what happened days earlier Manchester was out in force the whole day, for the testimonial at Old Trafford and the concert later in the evening. Northern stubbornness at it's best.

Liam has been itching for a reunion and has been saying that he's would love it. It's down to Noel, really but I don't really blame Noel if he doesn't want to. Putting up with Liam must be a nightmare. Would like to see it happen though.

 

Didn't catch the concert myself but my other half kept me informed. Great to hear it was a big success. Manchester has given the world so much music from The Smiths, Oasis, Stone Roses, 808 State, The Chemical Brothers. It's great to see people coming together in solidarity, especially with music for Manchester.

Yeah it was great just to listen to some positivity, felt myself getting choked up a few times. A lot of respect for Ariana in putting it all together, you could see she was getting overwhelmed with emotion during some of the songs.

 

Noel should have come on for a rendition of Wonderwall, and I was hankering for a bit of Queen We Are The Champions at the end.
