The Mysterious One Posted June 4, 2017 Share Posted June 4, 2017 I just remembered this when I played San Andreas when I first got it. I remembered how at first I thought when "Motownphilly" was played on the radio, I actually thought that when Michael Bivins talked in between verses, I thought it was banter in the song. Then I realized that those bits were actually part of the song itself. Of course, I will say that I was mostly used to hearing the radio edit of it without Michael Bivins talking (I am not sure if I had heard the original album version before the radio edit). However, it didn't help that Bivins voiced the DJ of that station. So I can see if there would be some confusion. So did anyone else think that it was the DJ talking at first?
