I don't think I've seen any military go around in dune buggies. I could be wrong though, but I doubt it.

It's still modified enough to look military, and not in a mad-max way.

 

So far we have 4, the APC, the halftrack, the Tampa, and the rocket bike. 2 of them are without a doubt military. At the absolute worst scenario we get 6 new vehicles, so that's 2 new vehicles yet to be announced.

I know the US Navy SEALs use dune buggies, I think they're called Desert Patrol Vehicles. Quite a few other armed forces probably use them but that one was just off the top of my head.

To the people bitching about the rocket bike, like Black-Dragon96 already mention it's clearly based off Street Hawk, an 80's action series in the same vein as Knight Rider and Airwolf, unlike those two shows Street Hawk only ran for a single 13 episode season, so it's a little more obscure.

The bike itself was something akin to jet powered, and could achieve incredible speeds (300mph) during so called "hyperthrust runs", and make crazy high jumps, it was armed to the teeth, with a built in machine guns, rockets and other fanciful stuff, in the show it was described as "an all-terrain attack motorcycle designed to fight urban crime"

Someone at Rockstar is fan of 80's action shows since we got several already:

• KITT (Ruiner 2000)
• A-Team van (Gang Burrito)
• Airwolf (tho not armed the Swift is clearly based on Airwolf it even has the intakes on the side)
• The Ferrari Testarossa from Miami Vice (Turismo Classic, just remove the spoiler and paint it white)

And now with Gunrunning we get Street Hawk, and the Mobile Operations Center is clearly based off the F.L.A.G. Mobile Unit from Knight Rider (http://knight-rider.wikia.com/wiki/F.L.A.G._Mobile_Unit).

The only two we're missing in my opinion are the Blue Thunder and the Ferrari 308 GTS from Magnum P.I.

As of right now the only vehicles that can tow trailers are the Sadler, Bison and Bobcat. The Bodhi has the same hitch as those but it doesn't work.

I am going to guess that its going to work the same way as the Biker stuff does, so in theory, yes, you will get more on the sale if you sell in LS vs BC.

Unless it's a four wheel drive, paddle tyres on the front are actually less effective off road. The front tyres need lateral grip, rather than longitudinal. Because they're not trying to pull the car forwards, they're trying to change the direction side to side. Otherwise, they need to impart as little drag as possible so as to not bog down in sand. Hence why dune buggies always have front tyres that are almost completely slick save for 1 or 2 circumferental ridges. Even the BF Injection and Buggy in GTA 5 have street tyres on the front for the same reason. [Cheaper than dedicated sand buggy tyres. They're clearly cheaply maintained]

Honestly folks, how many military vehicle have we currently got in the game? Let me count:

 

1-Rhino tank;

2-Insurgent;

3-Insurgent Pickup;

4-Crusader;

5-Barracks;

6-Barracks semi;

7-Lazer;

8-Hydra;

9-Savage;

10-Valkyre;

11-Buzzard attack chopper;

12-Cargo Bob;

13-Besra.

 

The new update will add three more military vehicles, making it 16 military vehicles.

 

This list is discounting the civilian cars and DIY armored vehicles.

 

C'mom folks, I won't ask if that's enough because it clearly isn't, for you at least, but you have to aknowledge that this game has quite a lot of these type of vehicles already, so I can see R* going for some more varied type of vehicles.
