Hello everybody,

I am thinking about getting into GTA Online, but before I buy it, I want to know how bad the hacking currently is. Thanks for sharing any of your experiences in advance.

You're ok on XBOX 1 and on PS4. I would stay away from playing GTA online on PC

Sorry for the lack of information. I want to play on PC. I heard a lot about douchy hackers getting you banned by dropping money, draining your bank account. Also random bans. Is it as bad as I heard or not that bad?

 

It's not THAT bad, but still pretty bad due to how easy it is to sneak mods and other tools on that version of the game. Just pay attention to the chat and the player list and if something fishy happens, switch sessions. Same if money starts to rain on you.

 

It's also quite easy to make a solo public session to avoid all these.

It's bad, but it's not that bad as it was. You WILL get millions against your will with a potential risk of getting ban.

However, there is no risk of depleting your bank account anymore.

As PC player, i would advice you to stay the hell away from PC if you want a script kid free experience, unless you stick to solo lobbies and private ones period.

 

script kids these days even could get you banned by dropping money on you and they can pretty much f*ck up any of your personal stats they want.

So getting moneydrops is unavoidable?

 

Moneybags are in the past. There are money injections now. You can receive money from a modder even while waiting in the clouds.

Sad.. but R* is not working on this issue

 

Incorrent. They do make some progress. The most critical issues are fixed now.
