People enjoying the moment at live concerts like the old days instead of recording all the event with a cellphone.

Taking a friend for a trip to a state preserved natural site on a warm, sunny day. Maybe cook something over the fire or the portable gas-grill. Perhaps crack a cold one as well and then sit back in the heather and enjoy the view and silence.

Bathwater that is just the right warm. Tea that turns out to have just the right flavor. Seeing my plants grow. And free time. Once I am free of any worries then that's what makes me really happy.

Whenever Alison Braun shares pics she's taken of my favorite bands. Like 45 Grave.

When I wake up in the middle of the night to use the bahroom in winter and my duvet is still warm as hell when I get back into bed.

Waking up in the middle of the night... and ther's still 4 hours before the alarm goes off.

Seeing your bank balance go up because of the lockdown. Feels nice to be able to save some money.

Menstrual Deranged

This is going to sound strange, but it makes me ridiculously happy when I'm out doing yard work and I find a toad. I always stop what I'm doing to pick it up and look at it. I talk to it for a minute. Sometimes it will piss on my hand. Then I let it go underneath one of my hosta plants with the hope that it will eat the slugs that like to destroy my hosta plants.

I've found a slow worm and a newt (I think, not sure, looked like one) in our garden before. It was so cool because I think reptiles are very rare in the UK and it's the only time I've seen either of them.

Overcast and rainy days that come after bright and sunny days, especially when I know I have to stay in and do work at home.

I also love when I preemptively got myself a nice bedside glass of water in case I wake up thirsty. Sometimes those drinks of water are the best. Then back to sleep.

Getting washing and drying done in one day. Never used a spin-dryer. I dry all my clothes naturally. However, some days, you get up, there's good drying and you get your clothes out and they're dry in a 2-3 hours if there's a good dry breeze.

Eating crisps/chips after a few beers. Delicious.

Watching live streams of railroads while playing acoustic blues. It's quite relaxing.

"They don't make good music like this anymore"

"Is anyone else listening to this in 2020?"

"Who else is here from [other media where song was featured]?"

"Copied and pasted lyrics"

I wouldn't feel a flicker of emotion if I heard anyone that wrote either of these posts in their life time got leukemia for doing so. It boggles the mind who actually likes these comments. And people respond sincerely to the second one.

Sorry to get back on topic.

Having the most chill raccoon visit my yard every night.  Total scamp.

And I hope that everyone gets to see the Carshield commercials...especially the one with Ice T.  That commercial brings a few smiles to my face every time.

Turning on the radio and tuning into some enjoyable talk show or good ol' classic rock. When I was at the primary school, I used to do that a lot after I came back from school. And that's how I'm introduced to most of the songs I deem "nostalgic" now. There were some good comedy shows on the radio when I was younger. So, I still take my time to catch upon the similar material or the same DJs who are still in business. Apart from the nostalgia trip, I like doing that because it gives me the relief and relaxation to work on my ambitious hobbies, such as writing and drawing.

I've replaced that void that radio left with Podcasts.  When you build up enough podcasts, you'll have a week or more's listening every week. But I get those feelings of nostalgia. When I was 11/12/13, I would always listen to the radio and was great when you stumbled upon some weird late-night conversation or some weird music you haven't heard before.

And they are perfect company for the long days spent working on projects. It's a conversation you want to hear but aren't distracted by the fact that you have to speak, allowing you to concentrate on work. It's perfect! I love music but I can only listen to so many hours of music per week.

Another GTA Fan

This may sound childish, but getting ready for a GTA session, and getting all my maps laid out as if I'm planning something big, then just chilling ingame. I used to do this in childhood when playing GTA SA, infact I still have the original map I used to draw so many things on. Honestly... I have no idea what half the things I wrote on the maps mean, I just remember marking interesting spots and 'bases'.

I don't know, but it takes me back to happier times, especially when it starts raining outside and I'm all cosy, just chilling in a video game.

Lol I mostly do that too, but on rare occasions I take like a minute to just admire or take in the aroma of food that looks really appetizing, might be weird but I like doing it for some reason, makes me feel happy, grateful and all that good stuff

I could live with a shorter winter because our days can be a quite short in winter but I do like it. And, I love Autumn. It's my new favourite season for the last few years. The weather is more consistent. Always a coat. Unlike our schizophrenic and bi-polar summers. At least in Winter and Autumn I know I'll definitely need my coat. I love preparing to go out in the cold. Hat, scarf, gloves. It's one of life's comforts. knowing it's going to be cold and putting on the layers to beat it! :D
