But I also want to buy an version of the social club GTA 5 game, is it possible to have 2 games on the same PC but with different social club accounts? - Jip
Andromeda-J
only if you create second partition on your hard drive and install other windows on that second one! then on restart hit f11 (or if you have it different then boot options menu key in general) and boot up disk with other windows with social club version of the game installed! It is needed because game won't install on same computer/windows installation if it detects that any game version is installed already, game files are same actually but verification is different! This isn't true, The SC version and Steam Version install in difference folders i've done this myself as i use mods in the Steam and regular files in Social Club
Andromeda-J
wow rockstar did effort then if you can install same thing twice as windows gonna just think one is not identical to another!? Edited June 5, 2017 by ACM-Jan
Ai®a©ob®a
wow rockstar did effort then if you can install same thing twice as windows gonna just think one is not identical to another!? This has nothing to do with R* but the way Steam and Social Club version install I'm guessing you don't play on PC do you? If you did or if you do then you don't realize that any games installed via Steam are installed in a Steam folder and Social Club is installed in it's own separate Rockstar Games folder Edited June 6, 2017 by Ai®a©ob®a LaszloR1
Andromeda-J
they install in different folders but registry values are named still after same things so i presumed windows will think it's same thing and won't allow it! How can you think i don't play on pc only because i haven't tried also steam version!? I you were reading my other posts besides tech issues topics ones you would know what pltaforms i've played on! P2FX
Steam version games usually don't use windows registry. They use steam API instead.
Andromeda-J
Steam version games usually don't use windows registry. They use steam API instead. that explains everything, if had someone mentioned that earlier there never haven't been this arguement Edited June 6, 2017 by ACM-Jan

Andromeda-J
did you know openIV lets you copy the files/archives to folder called "mods" (automatically created) and then replace mod files in the game files which are in "mods" folder therefore making it really easy to remove the mods, moving the "mods" folder and script files out of main folder will make game clean and real game files are not gone from installation!
