Contact mission joining help

Need help here brothers and sisters.

 

If I host a contact missions and request players I never get help. And I mean never. If a friend hosts then he fills up his group right away.

 

I have a high speed connection and can't figure this out.

 

I have talked to rockstar about this but gotten no help.

 

This isn't just contact missions, if I do this with races, heists or anything the same thing happens.

 

I am on ps4 and have mtu stuff set to 1500.

Are you in a public session? Always make sure you in a public session for easier access for other players. The match making option is automatically turned off when hosting in invite only. Even though you can enable the settings to ON, it still feels a bit sluggish for others to join so just try to stick with public's. Do you use free aim or auto aim? Make sure its on 'Assisted Aim - Full' as this is the more common selected option, therefore putting you in larger lobbies. And yes, even if you are in a free-aim lobby, it does also only put you into races where others must share the same settings.

By any chance, is your friend in the MP3 or IGN crew?

 

They have over 2 million and 3 million people in them, respectively, and I've always recommended joining either of these crews to help pad out your lobbies more.

Yeah if you want to be trolled/rammed. IGN/MP3 crew members are renowned for being assholes.

I joined that IGN crew early on just to get the crew trophy...

 

Every single player I met from that crew was either a modder at a daft rank, some wannabe black gangsta calling me the N word constantly, playing either dubstep, rap music, or a child abandoned by their parents...

 

Never again. Such a tragic sight.
