Currently I logged into my old ps account with no ps plus on it and I'm playing Gta online with it. How is this possible ?

Is it on the same ps your main account is on? If your main account is the primary account then any sub account can access the ps+ online.

If you have an account with ps plus activated on your ps4, you can use any other account you have by using that activated account's ps plus.
