Rhoda
Roger Moore – Saint, Persuader and the suavest James Bond – dies aged 89 Two of my first topics in a while and they're both about celebrity deaths. Uncle Sikee Atric
Now this is true. R.I.P. Sir! A true gentleman and hard working stage performer and actor, right until his final days. The last time I saw him on TV was this interview when Car SOS restored a Volvo P1800 (His car from the TV series, The Saint) and the outake at the end of the episode is just hilarious. He was a wonderful man. Edited May 23, 2017 by Uncle Sikee Atric rtie, s-u-r-y-a, GTA_stu and 5 others

Sunrise Driver
JESUS F**K. I understand it's 89 years, still can't accept this. He was a great Bond I like practically all his movies (even A View To A Kill). RIP. Skeever
R.I.P. Roger Moore. While he wasn't my favorite Bond, he was still a pretty damn good one nonetheless. I'm not going to be a happy camper when Connery inevitably follows suit. GTA_stu, iBUCKEYE, BenMitchell90 and 1 other

trip
Ah man. When people have the "favorite Bond" debate I always listed Roger Moore as my favorite bond. The Spy Who Loved me was the first Bond I saw in the theater. Thanks for the movies Mr. Bond. s-u-r-y-a
Most of us probably remember this brilliant gentlemen as 007 but he was more than that. A saint, a great persuader and much more. The Saint (1962 - 1969) The Persuaders (1971 - 1972) Tony Curtis enjoyed a Ferrari Dino 246 GT while the Bond-to-be drove a Aston Martin V8 DBS. I had no idea at the time what brand the yellow one was, but it definitely was my favorite from the two. James Bond (1973 till 1985) with my favorite Bond car. A Lotus Turbo Esprit in bronze with golden stripes and decals. Simply appealing. Also hard to resist in that color combination. He will be missed. Rest well Sir Roger Moore. Agem
Moore's Bond wasn't the most accurate to the original book's vision. He wasn't very serious the closer we got to the switch to Dalton. They were a bit too silly and comedy oriented. But you gotta admit he did a good job at doing his own thing with the character, and some of his songs and adventures are among Bond's best of the best. We must also remember the great scenes with Jaws. He'll definitely be missed. Just hoping it'll take a long time until another Bond passes away. Rest in peace, Sir Roger Moore. BenMitchell90
Heard this on the radio today. I guess I knew it was coming, as he was up there in years, but it hit me hard. As a huge Bond fan, it's awful to see one of the actors go, and from everything I've heard he was a great guy, a real class act. I know some of his movies weren't the best (I enjoy all 7 of them though), but even in the weaker ones he always brought his A game and so much charm and charisma to the role. Ottae
My condolences go out to Mr. Moore. I haven't really seen any Bond movies from his era, but I plan to in the future. If you're gonna watch them, here's how I'd rate Moore's Bond films: Live and Let Die (dat bond song) The Spy Who Loved Me (Jaws ftw) A View to a Kill (Walken ftw) The Man With the Golden Gun (Chris Lee ftw) For Your Eyes Only Octopussy Moonraker (arggghhhh) RIP Roger. It's very strange to see a Bond actor die, they all seem immortal (David Niven excluded), Although he was far from my favourite Bond, he definitely made the role his own and gave the character a unique twist. Jimmy
Live and Let Die was one of my favorite 1900s Bond Movies. I liked Roger movies over Connery's. 89 is a good life in today's standards. RIP, he won't be forgotten. Atleast he had a peaceful and natural death. Sunrise Driver
